Gavin's mind felt a wound bleeding, aching after someone poured acid where was hurting. It could be seen as a silly thing since Isaac called Gavin worser names than stupid or dumb, but the situation was different. What hurt the boy the most was that even after all the effort he was putting into being the President, it was not enough for people to take him more seriously. Apparently, not even Isaac was looking at his sun with those eyes, and that was the core of the wound. There was the place where blood wouldn't stop leaking and no one would act to make it stop. Gavin felt disappointed, dispirited and quite angry at the words he heard around that table.
On the other side, Isaac thought that what he said needed to be said. Gavin was too naive for several subjects and he was not aware of it. Isaac just chose the wrong group of words to comment it with him. But it was the truth too. Kyedoth was gone, but danger for him, his family and Gavin was not. People were crazy and reckless. Who knows if there is someone planning an attack on them. Isaac was insane about that matter. After what happened to Oliver, his care for his family only increased, and he was not letting anything happen to the little Della. Nonetheless, the girl was safe. Angelina knew the risks and she took care of her family stronger than ever. Security companies were getting richer each day thanks to her and Gavin dense support.
The curfew night was lonely for both of them. Isaac didn't have the courage to apologize and Gavin didn't want to be around him. The place was big so being separated was not a problem. It was good, actually. This way, both of them would have space and time to put their thoughts into the right directions. The boys wouldn't stay away from each other for too long. They had a lot of things to resolve together, plus, Isaac was living with Gavin for some time. Unfortunately, all the commitments and the duties they had to perform together wouldn't make the hurt fade away.
When the morning arrived, their guards came back to take them to Qorjal. The boys faked reactions and touches when needed, but none of them felt the core of these encounters of skin. In the car, in the jet, things were the same. Both of them looking out in opposite windows having only one meter separating their bodies, which was heavily strange because it felt like thousands of kilometers. Reaching Sound of Woods never took so long.
Inside the house, the boys still didn't exchanged a word with one another. They went to the first floor side by side, walking to the bedroom with their handbags. Isaac was thrilled to say something, but the feeling of being wrong was settled in his mind and he was ashamed of it, even to admit it. So he kept quiet the entire time. Once they reached the bedroom, his phone started ringing and Cameron's face appeared on the screen. He looked at it and left the room, going to the kitchen to talk to him alone. Gavin watched Isaac leave and positioned the bags over the bed. He would fix it later. Some time during the week for sure.
Gavin walked to the bathroom with a round capsule in hand, which was taken from his bag. He looked at himself in the giant mirror and just thought about what was eating his mind. Isaac hurt his feelings and it wouldn't be reversed. All they needed to do was to move on with it. Gavin decided to leave the Bethervan's place because of his feud with Benjamin, affirming that the environment of the house would be unpleasant while they were in the same room. Now, a situation like it was taking place in his own house, and it didn't feel right. Isaac was staying there for a while and he was not telling him to go away, but he would say the first word in an attempt to ease the tension between them. Gavin opened the capsule he was holding and picked one round pill, swallowing it dry later. The Malone boy walked downstairs and searched for Isaac. His voice could be heard from the kitchen and the boy slowly directed himself over there, listening with attention what Isaac was saying on the phone. The sunslightning was illuminating a big portion of the kitchen, specifically the spot Isaac was standing on.
"No, Cameron. I cannot. I am not in my house." Gavin saw that Isaac was with his Lenses on since his phone not in his hand or floating next to his ear. Isaac stared to the backyard while talking. "Nothing serious happened. I just did not want to be there."
