"Why does it have to be so beautiful? Look at, it, Isaac." Gavin was in front of the viewport, or window, of his bedroom, analyzing the surroundings. They were under the blanket of the darkness, receiving light and heat from two hot circles far away from them. Gavin felt the warmth in his face and couldn't get enough of it. The glass of the viewport was equipped with amazing technology so people wouldn't get their visions damaged while looking directly at it, even if it was billions of kilometers in distance. Isaac was sitting in a chair next to him while reading something in the computer. The Bethervan was curious about the situation the ground was facing currently. Now, after a day in orbit, he was searching on the internet to see about the current status of Qorjal – what people were talking of, what was the impact of the mission to the nation in general. The result was what he was expecting: innumerable doubts coming from all the sides, but the good thing was that the inspiring speech Gavin did the day before was bringing hope to those uncertain minds. One of the country's biggest news agencies, The Qorjalli Line, highlighted some points of the event and praised Gavin for the wise words, signaling it was a great kickoff for the mission.
"A Tapestry of Utter Importance" — President Gavin's Inspiring Address Ignites "Legendary Path" Crew
ABOARD THE KOSMICHESKIY MAYAK EXPLORATORY SHIP, Going in Deep Horizon — In a moment that will undoubtedly be etched into the annals of national history, President Gavin delivered a powerful and profoundly moving speech to the two thousand strong crew of the "Legendary Path" mission. His words, radiating an "unwavering intensity" and absolute conviction, recast the ambitious horezhenical venture not merely as an exploratory endeavor, but as the "pivot of innumerable possibilities" for the nation's future and legacy [...]"
Isaac read it closely, focused on the critical side of their wording, because the coin of the situation had two sides, and while one was praising him for everything, the other could only see negative aspects about it. He knew criticism needed to be faced by both sides, however, it didn't please him in the slightest. His attention was interrupted once Gavin called out for him again. "I am talking to you in case you didn't notice my voice."
"I am sorry. I was reading the news. Things down there are confusing to define. I do not know if the majority of people are supporting it or not." Isaac got up from the white chair and walked towards his sun. Their horezhenical day had just begun. Isaac touched the back of Gavin's neck and caressed it tenderly, taking a look at the emptiness as well. "It is really beautiful, love. Now you can tell me what is really on your mind." They looked at each other in this instant, and Isaac's eyebrows were giving the I know you are hiding something look to the little man. Besides being heavily applauded and praised the day before, the other situations Gavin had to take care of were still consuming his mind. It was hard to pretend. Gavin looked deep into his lover's eyes and the urge to tell him about his recent discovery was so strong that he felt like a glass panel being shot several times over and over. Still, his decision remained the same: he couldn't tell Isaac his brother had a chance to comeback before talking to Angelina. She would have a more reasonable reaction and perhaps an explanation as well. Gavin had to be strong and betray his lover for better.
"I am worried about the country." Gavin responded. The lie was convenient enough for Isaac to believe it. "I said so many times I didn't want to be the President, but now that I am not there... I am worried about what is happening, Isaac. That's all." With that, Isaac opened a smile. He felt happy that finally the President actually wanted to be the President.
"Oh, so you miss being there in the State Union all week?"
"Hold on." Gavin pointed a finger at the humorous Isaac. "There is no need of exaggeration. Honestly, it is because of the way we left. I mean, we were praised by everyone and made that rumor turn irrelevant, but I don't know, Isaac. I still feel uncertain about it." Gavin hated lying to his sun, but that was a real concern he had. The only lie in it was the intensity of this care to the situation.
