The glorious feeling of happiness settled into the boys' minds easily after their passionate and intimate moment of the previous night. Sleeping together felt different, but better. Feeling each other's touch felt comfortable, but safer. Isaac and Gavin certainly unlocked a new step into their non-labeled relationship and the feeling couldn't be more pleasing. After their first sex episode, the boys bathed separately and went to bed. They had some small talk before falling into their slumber and one of the main topics was: 'I hope no one heard us fucking like dogs in heat'. The walls were thick, but were thick enough? Well, that was a matter for the next morning because if Angelina heard something like that she wouldn't keep it to herself like the loud mouth she is.
They woke up soon in the morning, when the clock reached the 2 number. Gavin was the one to get up first since he was getting used to wake early due to his busy schedule as a candidate for presidency. He walked to the closet and selected something to wear so he could go down the ground floor. Gavin picked a grayish-beige pair of pants, which were loose in his legs but fit well in his waist; a long sleeve creamy colored shirt with red stripes over it and his usual furred grey flip-flops. He left the room and walked to the windows that gave the view of downtown. He cleared the opacity of the glasses on a display nearby on the walls since Isaac had turned it black the night before. The sky was clouded and snow was falling in weak intensity. The view of downtown denounced a few sonic jets flying around the buildings and he concluded something serious was happening over there, but he turned around and walked to the door, passing by the bed and analyzing the peaceful face of his dear lover. Gavin chose to let him sleep a bit more. He grabbed his phone, unlocked the door and left.
When he reached the ground floor, he directed himself to the living room, where he found several shopping bags positioned on the couch and on the floor. He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow while looking at it. He walked slowly around the place and searched for Angelina. It was two in the morning. The day had just begun! Where the hells Angelina got all this stuff from? Gavin was expecting to catch a sight of her holding her cellphone and talking loud and exasperated like she always does. Angelina was an angel with her coworkers but when she needed to fix things by the phone she liked to be rough.
Gavin heard the front door being opened, making him turn around to see who was entering the house. It was Angelina indeed, with more bags and the phone floating next to her ear. She walked to the living room and placed the bags on the couch before greeting Gavin. "Good morning dear. Did you sleep well?"
"Good morning, Angelina. Yeah, I had a good night-"
"NO! Your deadline was TWO days ago. How that report didn't get to be in my PAD or any of my corporative channels, Myselly?" She exclaimed aggressively on the phone. "Sorry about that, dear." Gavin smiled at the scene and said nothing, just watched her irritation. "Alright, alright, Myselly. You have until tomorrow to get me these reports. The place is totally safe. I will prepare a personal scout to accompany you. Let General Bevennyko know about it." She hang up the phone and took a deep breath, passing her hair behind her shoulders.
"What was all that about? My candidacy is giving you headaches?"
"No, no. Since the hiring of your team, things related to your candidacy are fine for everyone. I decided to take back my position as the Director of ICS yesterday and I am regretting it right now. I needed reports about the camps and the research stations our department administrates so I could direct resources and workers to those places. The attacks are still affecting the camps even after months it happened." She turned to face Gavin. "And you haven't heard the best news, dear! Yesterday while some soldiers were checking on the list of equipments we had in storage, they reported two COS-PW Suits are missing. Do you know anything about that?" She smiled In the highest of irony, waiting a reaction from Gavin but everything he did was laugh at the comment.
