Looks of judgment filled his day and brought an insane feeling of irritation to his being. Gavin wondered what these people had in mind to make a moment of simply hanging out look like he did a massacre in a public square. The State Union always had a heavy energy surrounding it, but that morning, it was worse than usual. He was walking in the bright halls with Irina by his side while they were on the way to the 1st Symposium Room where he would lead the first conference about the discovery mission alongside Zarkobretch Thrydalliv. Gavin was not in a pleasant place of mind, so he was not paying attention to anything Irina was saying.
Once he reached the room, everyone bent their knees, proceeding to seat on their chairs. Approximately two hundred people were there, but the conference was also broadcasted. Gavin was on the stage and Zarkobretch accompanied him. They decided the subjects they would present to the audience an hour before the conference initiated, so everything was settled in that matter. Gavin smiled to the public, catching a glimpse of himself in the big screens placed in the corners of the room, so everyone could see properly. He was wearing a dark blue shirt and pants. He was told to take simple outfits for the day, but specific ones that could outline his position at the building.
Everyone went quiet once Gavin was standing in front of the floating ballphone. "Good morning, our esteemed audience. Firstly, I appreciate your presence and interest in our mission. You have great importance in the development of our goal, which is to know and study The Other Country. The initial steps of our journey are projected to be done in three phases." An holographic system described behind Gavin everything he was saying. Big letters disposed the stages he mentioned. 1. Early Project 2. Structural Engineering and Design 3. Launch. He grabbed the ballphone an walked around the stage with it. "The team of BHDM, alongside with my personal crew, gathered important information and analysis to quickly identify the primary needs of our mission, which has been named as The Legendary Path by the man himself."
The public applauded them, followed by Zarkobretch getting up and starting talking as well. "It is important to highlight that our mission is being funded one hundred percent by the President and the BHDM. There is no involvement with public funds or any private banks like some communications companies heavily spread across internet and television last week. With that said, do you have any questions?"
Zarko firstly chose a man standing in front row. He had short golden hair, literally as said, that was in glimmer as the illumination struck it. "Good morning, Mr. President and Mr. Thrydalliv. I am Cassou Fe'Nalé from the Qorjal Reader. I wonder what are the future possibilities The Legendary Path mission will bring to our nation. Will we be able to visit the other side? Are we establishing the import and export of raw materials, supplies and etcetera like we do with our internal states?"
"Yes, Mr. Fe'Nalé." Gavin answered. "It is in our future plans to create a friendly environment between us and our neighbors. So if they are willing to accept it, we will have ways to share knowledge, culture and resources with them. Other important factors need to become solid so it can happen, but our government is getting ready to deal with those situations if they come to our reality." The man thanked Gavin for his answer and sat back down. A woman with long brown hair got her hand up amongst ten other people, but Thrydalliv chose her.
"Please, your name and the channel you are representing." Zarkobretch said.
"I am Qatyk Assedammy, from The Country Eyes." Zarkobretch got worried at the hear of that name. The channel just mentioned, is an assiduous supporter of Kyedoth. "I would like to direct the question to President Gavin." She got up from her seat and now Gavin was staring at her, waiting for the question. "Mr. President, what do you have to say about the statements several vehicles posted related to your behavior yesterday? The Propek Line said your actions were inappropriate for the highest office; Above the Surface affirmed, in live television, that you were unworthy of the position, claiming that your conduct as the President is a curse sent straight from hells; The representative of The Morning Wording, in a live debate between politicians and journalists, said our country would never-"
