KIRSTEN'S POV:
"Why do you like her anyway?" I looked at Ethyl as she handed me some of the papers I needed to check.
I'm still in my internship. I'm pressured but I know I can do it. Besides, sino ang hindi gaganahan pumasok? if you have a cute girl as your inspiration.
"My girlfriend?" I asked. Ever since she found out I have a girlfriend, hindi na niya ako tinitigilan palagi niya akong kinukulit and it annoys me, why do I have to be in the same office as hers.
"Sa babae ka pa rin pala papatol, ano ba siyang klaseng babae? at ako hindi mo pinili?"
"Ethyl please, you already have a boyfriend," I said. That's why I always get hurt in court, it is because of her idiot boyfriend who insists in a duel every time.
Mas magaling pa rin naman ako. I will never lose to him.
"I only said yes to him, kasi akala ko wala talagang pag-asa."
"Ethyl, please I'm doing drafting, may inaayos pa ako and we're on duty."
Pagkatapos ng trabaho ay parang nasanay na ang katawan ko na tawagan siya palagi. Kaya naninibago ako ngayon.
"Now, look at yourself, kunwari busy but you're just pretending to be para hindi mo siya palaging iniisip. You're hurting yourself. You even let her father beat you, para lang matanggap ka?"
And in my free time I always stare at pictures that I saved on my phone.
The prom night and the day we went to a waterfall with her friends.
It was one of the best moments of my life. I mean every time that I'm with her.
I loved it when she used her baby voice all the time. If she only knew how much I missed her.
"Napahiya ka pa sa firm ng dad niya. Dapat nga kasuhan siya eh."
Napasapo ako sa noo ko. Hindi niya kailangan ulitin ang nangyari. I got so worried about her. She hasn't sent me a message for days. I went to her province, and visited her but her mom just warned me.
"Wag mong haluan ng kabaliwan ang anak ko! matino ang anak ko! layuan mo siya!" I still remember the words that her mother said to me. Kabaliwan? They think I'm a bad influence on her?
I searched for her father and I found their company. I went there and asked for an appointment with him. Though It wasn't really the first time I talked with her father.
"I was here for you Kirsten, palagi akong nasa tabi mo. Kahit alam kong hindi mo naman ako bibigyan ng halaga."
Tumayo ako at nilingon siya, I don't think I can finish what I'm doing right now. Mabuti nalang kami lang ang nandito ngayon. She's so unprofessional.
"Hindi ko naman hiningi diba?" I answered. I know it's harsh but I don't want her to keep doing this. I don't want her to keep asking for something I can't give.
"I did all those things, because I love you kahit hindi mo hingin."
I halted. Silly things you do with love huh.
"I want to talk to you, Kirsten. alone." I remember the day of having lunch her family.
I showed no expression because I don't want Mella to be worried. Her hands are cold. Magkahawak ang kamay namin sa ilalim ng lamesa. Nakakatakot pala ang tatay niya. Lalo na't nagsisinungaling kami.
