I sighed, stretching up into the sky.

"Ah, Shizukana-kun, you sure you're doing well? I heard you still did the practice this morning."

I glanced over at Hirata, and smiled.

"Yup, I'm good, it's tiring, but I figured if I was the one to suggest something like this, that I should participate as well."

There was nearly a month until the actual sports festival started, so after confirming which events everyone would be doing, I suggested for us all to spend our pt classes training for those events.

Horikita agreed, and had rented out some equipment to help people train in the events that we expected to rely on them for.

For example, we had let Yukimura do the scavenger hunt, because while he's not the most physically adept, he's got a good awareness regarding his surroundings.

In his case, we're just working on his sprints.

In my case, since I'm working on everything, the main thing I'm doing is stamina training.

Not that I really needed it, I do a lot of it already nearly every day, but I figured I may as well be a good sport.

"Alright, just don't overwork yourself."

"I should say the same to you, don't you still have soccer going on?"

He let out a meek laugh.

"Yeah. You're right."

"Tch, Shizukana-kun! Again!"

I looked back over at Sudo, who was sweating a bunch as he prepared a rope.

There was also that.

Sudo wanted to anchor the tug of war, and I, frankly, said no.

We had everyone do grip tests on one of those grip machines, and I found it funny how Ayanokoji was tricked by Sudo of all people and ended up showing off more than he intended.

And now Sudo wants to prove he should be the anchor by beating me in a tug of war.

I've already beaten him seven times.

I sighed, walking over to him, grabbing the rope where I had last time, and pivoting my body, steeling my legs.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yeah!"

"Alright."

I gave a small tug, and Sudo immediately pulled, he pulled and pulled, not letting up, just like all the other times.

Typically, in a match of tug and war like this, the best way to win would be to match yourself to the opponents pace, pull when they run out of the strength to pull, because typically it's a pull, lax, pull once more kind of turnout.

Sudo, with his own strength, could manage to consistently pull the rope for a good minute.

However.

The way I anchored myself, and his tactics.

He has the right tactics, I'm just stronger.

I kept the rope tight in my hands as he continued to pull, not moving an inch.

And the moment he let up, I pulled hard, causing Sudo to stumble forward, and once more ending the match in my victory.

Sudo grumbled as he picked himself up.

"Alright, I'll do the set again." He stated, turning around.

I watched as Sudo grabbed another rope that was attached to a sandbag, and pulled on it, bringing the sandbag closer to himself.
