I heard a knock at the door, and looked back.
"Coming!" I shouted out.
I placed my bow down carefully, and walked across the padded mats of the gymnasium I was currently in.
When I made it to the front doors, I smiled as Ayanokoji came within sight.
I opened the doors, greeting him.
"Yo, how's it going?"
"Good. Horikita is starting a meeting regarding the Paper Shuffle, she told me to get you."
"Ah, I'll pass."
He rose a brow in interest.
"Really?"
"Yep, I may have said it last time, but I mean it this time, I'm not getting involved with this exam, but I'll deal with Kushida if she gets involved."
"Finally letting her stretch her wings then?"
I nodded.
"Mhm, do make sure she doesn't fly too high."
"I think she'll be fine. Well, I'll relay your words to her then."
"Alright, thanks."
"See you."
"See ya!"
The doors to the gym closed as I walked back over to the training area.
I crossed my arms as Ibuki awkwardly held the bow in her hands, drawing back an arrow.
She had her hair tied in a loose ponytail, apparently it was irritating her since it kept getting stuck to her forehead from the sweat.
I watched as she tried to breath, doing her best to aim the bow properly.
I could already pick out a few things I saw wrong, but it was definitely a vast improvement since the first time she shot.
That was a nightmare.
We almost broke the lights in the gym, and that's when I realized I should use different arrows to practice.
She let go of the string, and the arrow flew through the air.
The target was directly ahead, at eye level, almost, and was about twenty metres away.
She hit on the outside, just barely getting two points.
"Better than last time, you're picking this up well." I stated.
She looked back at me, shaking her head.
"Well, maybe I'd shoot better if I weren't so sore."
"Hey, you said you'd follow my schedule."
Naturally, she's not following my personal schedule specifically, but the one I created for her is working her to the bone.
I smiled, remembering the first day of her hellish training.
She was white as snow by the end of it, and ended up puking before passing out.
Fun times.
"Well, that's fine, it's time for your favourite part of the day after all."
She stared back at me, before her eyes slowly started to shine.
"Stretching?" She asked, almost desperate.
"Stretching." I confirmed.
"You did pretty well today."
She pumped a fist.
