It was a Thursday night at 8:00 pm.

Horikita had decided that we hold our strategy meeting at a karaoke place, since it would be awkward to have all of us gather at one specific person's room.

Those that were here included nearly everyone from the main cast of leaders within the class.

Plus Sudo.

In other words it was Ayanokoji, Hirata, Kushida, Horikita, Karuizawa, and then finally Sudo and I.

"Hey, can I sing?" Karuizawa asked.

"Let's wait until after the meeting is over." I suggested.

She pouted.

"Ehh, but the karaoke is right here?"

"You're the one that said you didn't want to go to the dorms, and so we came here, right?" Horikita was the one who spoke up that time.

I'd noticed that Horikita had taken on a peculiar way of seeing Karuizawa.

She sees her as more of a spoiled child compared to how she saw her before.

It's reflected in her speech and tone when speaking to her.

A slight hint of chastising within words that entrap her using words she herself had used.

In other words, a little kid's worst nightmare.

"Look, we bought all this food to enjoy, so just make do with these until we're done the meeting." I decided to play along.

This was true, Karuizawa had put it upon herself to order junk and drinks for everyone here.

"Don't speak to me like I'm a child." She responded, crossing her arms.

Then an idea came to mind.

"That's it, once the meeting is over I'll show you your place in a karaoke battle." She pointed a finger at me, daring to challenge me.

I'd never sung before, but so long as I can read the lyrics...

"You're on." I accepted.

"Haha, alright alright, we really should get this started." Hirata said, making calming gestures.

"Mhm, I'll also join in once we're done."

Horikita sighed.

"I'm going to start the meeting now." She declared.

She pulled out a notebook she'd been using lately, helping her to track down some of her thoughts.

"First on the list is the study sessions, and I must say their results proved to be more successful than I imagined they'd be. At first I was worried about the boys, considering how much of a mess they were being, but after some encouragement from Kushida and Shizukana, they got right to work. Thank you again for that you two."

We responded happily to her words.

"Of course!"

"Haha, it was no problem."

Sudo raised a fist, gripping it as though he made some grand accomplishment as he spoke up next.

"Just so you know, I've studied so hard that my mouth is like an English dictionary now!" He proclaimed.

"Indeed, Sudo-kun has grown significantly compared to the start of the school year. Your concentration has dramatically improved in particular. However, it is to be noted that your individual academic abilities are nearly inferior to that of a first-year middle school student."

Sudo flinched at that last part.

"I'm still only at that level?"

Horikita looked directly at Sudo.
