I opened my eyes as I heard the door close, pushing off of the wall to stand straight.

"Ready to go?" I asked.

"Go where?"

Ryuen was staring at me with some suspicion in his eyes, as I'd called him out to go do something tonight.

I beckoned for him to follow me, and began walking off.

I heard his footsteps behind me, and began talking.

"I'd already informed the others about our absence, how good are you at card games would you say?"

"Card games?"

"Blackjack, Poker, Old Maid, the like."

"I'm decent."

Only decent huh?

"Keep your eyes open then, I'm going to need you to get better fast."

"Tensai."

I stopped, turning to look back at him.

"What's going on?"

"I'm taking you somewhere I think you need to go."

"Why is that?"

"It's impossible to cultivate your skills in a place like this, so I need to bring you to an environment that will allow you to do such."

That should be a good enough answer for him.

I want him to grow, is what I'm saying.

He nodded his head, and we continued walking.

"What's the story then?"

"The current student council president. He's going to try and play a game with the former president, I want to intervene."

I know Horikita wouldn't refuse if it was Nagumo asking, as that would only increase Nagumo's influence.

If Horikita were to refuse, it would only be natural people would think it's because he's scared of losing to Nagumo.

And even if the general populous didn't think that, Nagumo would make sure that it's interpreted that way.

Knowing that about the older Horikita, and also knowing that Nagumo will likely try and pull some tricks, is why I want to get involved.

"You won't be playing, not unless I've already secured too big of a lead for you to possibly throw it, rather, I want you to observe how the others and I play, as well as keep an eye out for any tricks."

"Cheating?"

"Tricks, Kuru. Only losers call it cheating."

He let out a small sigh, something I couldn't help but let out a little giggle from.

After finding the correct room, I knocked on the door.

It opened after a few seconds, and I smiled up at the third year who greeted me.

"Hello, mind if we come in for a bit?" I asked.

"I heard about something interesting that may be taking place in here."

He clearly recognized me, and looked back into the room for a moment.

"Horikita-kun, Shizukana-kun is here with one other, should I let them in?"

"Senpai! Tell this guy to get out of the way or I'll break his arm!" I called out into the room.

"Come in Shizukana-kun." Horikita called back.

I gave the person who greeted us at the door a curt smile before walking past him.

It was clear he was a bit uncomfortable with how casually I threatened him, but I dislike these pointless formalities, especially when it should've been expected for me to arrive here at this time.
