Special Chapter 3

Blake's POV

When I knew about her condition. I was able to talk and meet her parents when they got home.

"Blake, we don't want to lose our daughter. Please convince her to keep on fighting," pagmamakaawa ng mama niya sakin.

That was our conversation when we first met.

Kahit ako po, Tita. I don't want to lose her. I'm not ready.

I will never be ready.

Brigitte's dad and I already had a conversation. He told me that he was grateful that Brigitte got a chance to be with me. He's very happy for us.

He was also sorry for her situation and her decisions in life. Kahit sila, nahihirapan sa naging mindset ni Brigitte.

I was so devastated when she started to ask for permission from the others... I can't lose her, just like that.

I know it's so selfish. But I just can't. I'm not yet ready.

I booked a flight trip to Batanes. It's her dream destination. I want to make her happy even more. Buti na lang pumayag sila tita.

Her body is getting weaker every day. I needed to make sure that kahit malayo kami, settled lahat para sa kaniya.

I searched the tourist spots in Batanes and listed them. Pupuntahan namin lahat yon. Her parents helped me to prepare all the things that we would need for our trip.

They even rented a car para hindi kami mahihirapan ni Brigitte. They also bought 2 oxygen's para baunin namin. Even the ticket, sila na ang gumastos.

Sobrang naaawa na ako kay Brigitte because I know that she's fighting because of me. Sa akin na lang. Because the others were all ready for it.

Ang sakit sakit lang kasi wala akong magawa para tulungan siya. Para tulungan siya sa sakit ng nararamdaman niya.

Pero ayoko. Hindi 'ko pa talaga kaya. Just give us the days that we have for our trip. I promise. I promise to let her go. That would be my last wish.

Every destination that we went to, I was so happy kasi nakikita 'ko ulit yung saya niya. The genuine smile that made me fall for her deeply.

I wanted to propose to her nung time na nasa church na kami. But before we went there, Dr. Sausa gave me a heads-up that another attack could be fatal.

Bakit ba hindi sumasang-ayon samin ang tadhana!?

Instead, we pretended that we were getting married. I bought her a white dress na alam 'kong sobrang bagay sa kaniya.

Nung sinagot niya ako, wala na akong ibang hiniling kundi ang makasal siya sakin. I wanted to build a family with her.

Pero hindi pwede.

We exchanged each other's vows. Halos hindi na ako makausap ng maayos dahil sa sobrang iyak.

"Mahal, I just want to thank you for all the feelings that you made me feel. All the efforts that you made for me, the patience that you have for me, thank you for waiting."

"Mahal, this has been my dream ever since I met you. To be part of your life. Oo na, aaminin 'ko na. Patay na patay talaga ako sayo!"

Every moment is still fresh in my head and in my heart. Yun ang pinanghawakan 'ko simula non.

As we enjoy that day, I realized that I was being too selfish. Hindi na tama. Mas lalo 'kong napapahirapan si Brigitte.

Just like I promised to myself, I decided to let her go.
