As months passed, Katsuki's determination to fix things remained unwavering, his quest for justice driving him forward even in the face of challenges. Now, as he found himself on the edge of a new mission, this determination was just as strong as ever.
His target? One of the Hero Commission's heavily fortified buildings, a bastion of authority and power that stood as a symbol of everything Katsuki now opposed. With the aid of his network of informant, he'd obtained the intel he needed to infiltrate the facility.
It was quite the surprise, considering how easy it was to get the information and infiltrate the building.
The client wanted dirt on them. He didn't particularly care who, Teskai always handled that. Katsuki only had to follow the instructions.
Though... He was, of course, allowed to do whatever he wanted. As long as the job was completed, he had complete freedom.
So under the cover of the night's darkness, Katsuki made his move, his steps silent as he navigated the shadows that cloaked the building's perimeter. With practiced skill, he bypassed the security measures in place, slipping through the cracks undetected as he made his way to his destination.
This was too easy, they really should up their security. Then again, he'd mastered this type of job. Tesla's intel was no joke either. The building's schematics and loopholes were nothing compared to Teskai's unwavering knowledge. It was almost like a second quirk.
As he slipped into the building, Katsuki's heart pounded in his chest, adrenaline coursing through his veins as he prepared to confront whatever lay in wait. He steeled himself for the challenges ahead, knowing that nothing would stand in his way. And that was just a fact. He wasn't Katsuki Bakugou right now, he was Deadpool. He always got what he wanted.
As Katsuki stealthily made his way through the corridors of the Hero Commission's building, he couldn't shake the feeling of excitement that seemed to reverberate through him. With each coming second, the tension mounted, his senses heightening as he prepared himself for whatever obstacles lay in his path.
The luck so far was suddenly cut off as he rounded a corner and came face to face with a pair of security guards, their expressions hardening as they caught sight of him.
「Of course he was discovered, he was the main character after all. What's a story without suspense and action?」
Without hesitation, Katsuki sprang into action, his movements fluid and precise as he engaged the guards in a flurry of hand-to-hand offense.
He moved quickly to knock them out. He wasn't about to kill employee's of the Hero Commission. With each opponent he dispatched, his confidence grew, fueling his determination to press onward.
He was better than those lowlife morta–
...What?
Katsuki's movements jerked to a stop as he swirled back to stare at the unconscious bodies on the tile floor. Lowlife?
He shrugged. Perhaps it was for the best that he ignored that thought. He still had s mission to complete.
The battle was far from over after all. As Katsuki made his way deeper into the building, he encountered more guards, each one more formidable than the last. He managed to take down each one, his body healing faster than they could deal damage.
In all honesty, Katsuki had to thank Jiang for the experimentation. His body had adjusted and he not only healed faster than at first, but the repeated deaths had made his revivals much faster. Mere seconds compared to his first deaths; deaths that had taken hours to revive from.
That didn't mean he'd be letting the bastard's of Department K go, though. He'd track down Jiang's boss and end this for good.
Until then, Katsuki remained focused on his objective, his unwavering focus driving him forward. With each adversary he defeated, he gained ground, inching closer to the objective that awaited him at the heart of the Hero Commission's domain.
When Katsuki reached the inner sanctum of the building, he wasted no time in locating the central database. With an astonishing efficiency, the USB he'd plugged in bypassed the security protocols and began collecting as much data as it could fit. It always took the most heavily encrypted data first.
Teskai really was the best, he'd modified the USB to work faster, to target the most sensitive files.
Time was of the essence, and Katsuki worked quickly, his eyes scanning the screens as he sifted through the vast troves of information. He searched through the database while the USB's virus worked it's magic. Each file retrieved brought him one step closer to finishing the job, each a step closer to finishing the daunting task at hand.
Not only that, though. He also scanned through for any mentions of Department K. He couldn't find any. Katsuki couldn't tell whether or not he was disappointed or relieved at this knowledge.
But just as he was about to complete everything, an alarm blared to life, signaling that his presence now had the full security forces converging on his location. With a curse, Katsuki knew that he had to act fast if he wanted to escape with the data intact.
Thirty seconds until the data finished downloading.
Fifteen seconds.
Ten seconds.
Five seconds.
Grabbing the USB containing the downloaded files, Katsuki made a break for it, sprinting through the corridors as he ignored cameras and evaded capture. Adrenaline surged through his veins as he raced against the clock, his every instinct honed on survival as he fought his way to freedom.
Finally, with the data secured and his mission accomplished, Katsuki burst out of the building into the cool night air, his heart pounding with the exhilaration of his narrow escape.
