Katsuki's mind raced as he pieced together the information he'd gathered over the past few months. The whispers, the coded messages, the elusive references; they all pointed to one name: Ajax. This revelation had been a long time coming, he'd had many people help him find this out.
Each having more information than the last once he'd figured out how to target his hostages. The next step was clear; he needed to find Ajax and put an end to the tyranny of Department K.
Sitting in the dimly lit room, Katsuki's fingers flew across the keyboard of his laptop, searching through encrypted files and tapping into various underground networks. Teskai had hooked him up with a secure connection that was nearly impossible to trace, a small but crucial advantage in this high-stakes game.
"Ajax," he muttered to himself, eyes narrowing at the screen. The name felt like a lead weight in his mind. Who was this guy, and what did he want with the people he'd tortured and experimented on?
Katsuki leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. The thrill of the hunt was intoxicating, but it was moments like these, when he was on the verge of a breakthrough, that the adrenaline truly surged.
A ping on his laptop pulled him back to the screen. It was a message from Toga, a rare instance of her being serious.
———
Toga: Maybe this Ajax used to be a hero??
Toga: We don't have access to the Hero Database
———
Katsuki's eyes widened. A former hero? As insane as it sounded, it was worth a shot. He quickly accessed the Hero Database, a vast repository of information on every registered hero, past and present that was privy to oy those with the code to get in.
It had insane security, even Teskai couldn't get in. Thankfully, Katsuki had been a student at Yuuei. He'd gotten the code for a project on retired heroes.
Typing in the name "Ajax" brought up nothing immediately, so he began to dig deeper, looking on different sites. They were all connected, but for tighter security, they were separate sites. After what felt like hours, he stumbled upon a record filed under 'Missing In Action'.
"Francis Freeman," Katsuki read aloud. "Former hero, alias 'Ajax.' Quirk: Enhanced Strength and Agility. Disappeared ten years ago, presumed dead"
The profile included a grainy photo of a man in his early twenties, with dark hair and a cocky smile. Katsuki's mind raced as he processed the information. Ajax had once been a hero, fighting for justice, only to vanish and resurface as the head of one of the most feared organizations in the underworld.
Why had the once hero turned to crime? What had happened? What made him do this?
Katsuki's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing.
"Yo, got something for you" Teskai said when he answered. "I found an old interview with Eizo Tanuma. Sending you the link now"
Katsuki blinked. "I just found out, how'd you know?"
"I have access to your computer, remember?"
Katsuki rolled his eyes and clicked on the link on his laptop, "Whatever, stalker"
He watched the interview, his eyes narrowing as he listened to the officer talk about Ajax's noble ideals and vision for a better society. It was eerie, seeing this guy talk about how much this great hero would be missed.
As the interview ended, Katsuki felt a surge of hatred. He finally had a face to the name, a target to hunt. Ajax, or Francis Freeman, was going down.
Grabbing his gear, Katsuki prepared to set out. This mission was personal now, more than ever. This bastard had turned against the hero society, betraying everyone's trust.
With one last look at the screen, Katsuki set off, his mind focused on one goal: bringing down Ajax and dismantling Department K once and for all.

Francis's last name (Freeman) isn't used in the movie, but it's in the comics. Let's all give a big 'thank you' to Google.
(Apparently he does, in fact, have luscious locks in the comics. Bro's got a buzz cut in the movie lol)
