Katsuki's senses were on high alert as he patrolled the darkened streets. The city was a breeding ground for crime, especially at night.
With his signature red and black suit snug against his frame, Katsuki prowled the darkened alleyways of the city, scanning the shadows for any signs of trouble.
As he jumped across rooftops, he spotted a gang of thugs terrorizing a pair of women. Oh... That... Shit, one was clearly drugged.
With a growl of destain, Katsuki leapt into action, his movements a blur of speed and precision. He knocked back the thugs with ruthless efficiency, his fists and feet delivering punishing blows with lethal accuracy. The sound of his gloves meeting flesh echoed through the alleyway as the thugs crumpled to the ground, defeated and unable to escape.
He pulled out some zip ties and bound the men. He wanted to go drop them off at the nearest police station and be done, but Katsuki's work was far from over.
As he escorted the two women through the dimly lit streets to their home, his senses remained on high alert, scanning the surroundings for any signs of more danger. The women walked close to him, their expressions unreadable.
As he slowly walked beside the two women, his mind buzzed with a mixture of concern and doubt. He couldn't shake the nagging worry that his reputation as a violent vigilante might intimidate them. Especially after how he'd taken care of those thugs.
Perhaps he'd been too ruthless? That was the last thing they needed. He observed how one stumbled along for a few minutes before simply grabbing an arm. Her friend was already on the other, but he was stronger. She was kept steady.
Ideally, he'd carry her but the weapons lacing his suit would make it uncomfortable. Plus, if he were her, he wouldn't want some stranger carrying him. Even if that stranger was someone who'd just saved him.
Katsuki couldn't help but wonder if his actions were enough to put them at ease. The last thing he wanted was for them to feel more uncomfortable or afraid, especially after what they had just been through.
But as he stole a glance at their faces, Katsuki detected no trace of fear or hesitation. Instead, he saw a visible relief now shining in their faces, a silent acknowledgment of the safety he provided.
With a sense of reassurance, Katsuki pushed aside his doubts and focused on the task at hand. These women needed his help, and he was determined to see them safely home, regardless of any lingering concerns about his reputation.
Along the way, they no words were spoken to him. One woman was whispering to the other, though offering encouragement and comfort.
When they reached their supposed destination, he paused. The pair did as well. "She was drugged. Keep her awake and don't let her eat anything for a while" The woman he was addressing nodded with a grim look. "Keep the clothes, don't shower while you wait for the police. I'm getting the bastard's to them, obviously, but it's best to have evidence"
"...'Kay"
She sounded tired, more emotionally exhausted than physically. He hated how she seemed to already know what to do. Her face was so full of understanding that it made his stomach twist. He wished he could stop every crime like this.
The woman then gave him a warm smile, expressing her thanks before helping her unwell friend into the safety of their home.
Left alone on the quiet street, Katsuki watched them go with a sense of satisfaction, knowing that he had made a difference in their lives that night. Even if it was a little.
With a contented sigh, Katsuki continued on his way, his steps light and silent as he ventured back into the darkness, heading back to drag those thugs to a police station.
He caught wind of another disturbance nearby almost instantly once he'd gone back to searching for new problems to solve. Without hesitation, he raced towards the source of the commotion, his heart pounding with a heady mix of adrenaline and anticipation.
Racing towards the scene, he arrived just in time to see a group of villains engaged in a fierce battle with a team of newly registered heroes. He didn't recognize them, but he knew enough to infer that they were registered.
Without hesitation, Katsuki leaped into the fray, his presence immediately noticed by both allies and enemies alike. The heroes recognized him as a wanted vigilante, but they seemed to welcomed his assistance nonetheless.
Perhaps they realized that they were no match anyway.
It was quite the scene. He could respect their obvious teamwork and comradeship.
Katsuki's own combat prowess proved to be an asset in the heat of battle, turning the tide in their favor with each strike.
He was better than those mere mortals. He was much superior, more advanced and invulnerable. He couldn't be brought down like they could.
As the dust settled and the last of the villains were apprehended, Katsuki exchanged nods with the heroes before making his escape.
As he gazed out at the city skyline, bathed in the gentle glow of the rising sun, Katsuki couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the world around him. Every sight, every sound, every sensation seemed heightened, as if he were seeing the world with fresh eyes for the very first time.
He loved his new life.
