AN: I had a request where the Reader is a mother and Leon and their kid celebrate Mothers Day in a sweet way, but I've also added a dash of smut at the end too. In the UK Mother's Day was back in March, but I know other parts of the world celebrate the holiday at different dates, so this might be overdue or too soon for some of you♡
---------------------------------------------------------

The second I wake up alone, I panic, snatching up my phone to see that it's almost half past nine in the morning. I gasp, sitting up until all of a sudden I remember that it's a Sunday and I'm not late for anything. I slump back down, pressing a hand to my chest just as the sweet scent of something cooking floats into the bedroom. My nose twitches as I smile to myself, after five years of celebrating Mother's Day as a mother myself I know what to anticipate by now. I'm glad for the rare sleep in, but I'm desperate to see my two boys, so I quickly get dressed before heading down to the kitchen, which is in absolute chaos. Flour covers the counters and some of the floor, there's a sizzling as Leon stands in front of the hob with our son beside him standing on a chair, both watch as the pancakes cook.

I smile at the sight, clearing my throat to make myself known. Leon turns with a grin, spatula in hand as he winks at me, meanwhile S/N clambers down from the chair, rushing over to me and hugging my legs tightly. "Happy Mother's Day mommy!" He says, "Daddy and I made you something yesterday, look!" He adds, pulling away to snatch up a homemade card from the kitchen table. I take a seat, letting out a small yawn before a glittery card is shoved in my face. I laugh, taking it with raised eyebrows before scanning the artwork and effort, when I flip it open there's a scrawled message from my son with lots of hearts reading 'I love you to the moon and back', as well as a small message from Leon wishing me a happy Mother's Day and how proud he is of me. Tears fill my eyes as they do every year, I'm so thankful for my little family.

"This is amazing, thank you so much sweetheart, I love it so much." I softly say, opening my arms for S/N to hug me. He does, wrapping his arms around me until I pull him up and onto my lap just as Leon begins dishing out breakfast. "And thank you Leon, for helping." I add, sharing a tender look with my husband. He nods, smiling back at me.

"Anything for my beautiful wife and mom to the best kid in the world." Leon replies, quickly coming over to peck my lips as S/N giggles, finding the affection funny in a childlike way. We all have breakfast together, decorating the pancakes with fruits and syrup in funny ways, making S/N laugh. We eat and talk, with my son telling me all about the process of this morning and how he was like his daddy when sneaking around trying not to wake me up. Leon and I laugh at his theatrics until breakfast is swiftly over and I get up to help clean the mess, but Leon shakes his head and gives me a pointed look. "Not today Mrs Kennedy." He murmurs, already grabbing the plates.

"Are you sure?" I ask, double checking as Leon's lips pinch together in a kind warning. I hold up my hands in a surrender, allowing him to do the washing up for once as S/N comes back for more cuddles. Afterwards, we all decide it's too much of a lovely day to stay indoors, so we decide to head out to take S/N to the park with a ball and some toy, as well as some snacks for lunch. Leon and I hold our sons hand as he jumps and eagerly drags us down the street towards the local park, which isn't overly busy today. The sun beams down as we find a perfect spot under a tree and next to a pond, then we set up a blanket and pull out the packed toys and a book I'd brought with me. S/N sits and plays with his cars as Leon perches beside me, an arm around my shoulder as we soak in the sun and I read some of my book, then after a while our son grows restless, asking if we can all play with the ball.

"Don't forget it's your mom's day today kiddo." Leon chuckles as he stands, looking to me as if giving me an out. I shrug, setting down the book as S/N gives me the cutest puppy dog eyes I can never resist. We all venture a little bit away from our things, then we play a few ball games such as catch and football, though I'm not as competitive as the other two. In the end I go back to the blanket, watching as S/N and Leon play under the vast blue sky, birds chirping in the background of a perfect afternoon. When it begins to reach lunchtime I call the boys back, plucking out the made sandwiches and snacks, as well as some water and tangy lemonade. S/N brings over some wildflowers he picked for me, making me smile, then we all sit, refreshed, warm and happy until S/N gasps, pointing towards the pond where a family of ducks glide across the water.

"Look mommy! They're just like us!" He shouts, grinning as he looks to Leon and I for approval. I nod, ruffling his hair as Leon chuckles and leans his head on my shoulder. We watch the family of ducks and ducklings swim in a neat line, until they disappear into some greenery, my heart warms at the lovely sight. By the time the sun begins to set we're all tuckered out and in need of a chilled out evening at home, S/N is on the verge of falling asleep, so Leon sets him on his shoulders, holding him carefully whilst his other hand links with mine. We all head back home, slumping on the sofa watching S/N's favourite movie, 'Finding Nemo', until he falls asleep half an hour in. Leon and I chuckle at the sight of him spread out across our laps, mouth parted as he snores in a very Leon-like way. Leon's careful when he scoops him up and takes him to bed, letting him sleep as he needs to with the anticipation of waking up in a few hours for a snack or drink.

When Leon comes back to me I'm still watching the Disney movie, content and peaceful until Leon pulls me closer to him, kissing me deeply and slowly. "Happy Mother's Day Y/N," He whispers between kisses, "you're the heart of this family, we'd all be lost without you."

I smile, climbing onto his lap as our kisses and touches go further. "Thank you Leon, for making me a mother and for being the best dad you can be. I love you so much." I reply with a murmur, biting my lip as I glance at the open door. "I'm beginning to think one's not enough." I say with a tease and a glint in my eye. Leon's hands grab my hips, his mouth curving up as he kisses my jaw and neck.

"If I can get you pregnant in the next few months, next Mother's Day we'd be celebrating with two kids." He roughly mumbles as I let out a whimper. Within minutes we're in the bedroom, door locked with Leon between my thighs, slowly making love to me as we reach for each other, grabbing onto any skin we can as we try to muffle our sounds and avoid waking S/N. He's a deep sleeper thankfully, so when Leon thrusts a little deeper than usual the squeak I let out hopefully goes unheard. I wrap my legs around Leon's waist, eyes connected as we pick up the pace, both eager for him to fill me up and make me a mother to another baby. It isn't long before I come with a moan of his name, then Leon paints my walls, giving me what I need. Afterwards he holds me in his arms, a pillow under my hips to not waste a single drop as he praises and compliments me, kissing my head and face as we talk about the future and how we've both secretly been wanting another child.

Only a few weeks later I find out that our mission was a success. The next Mother's Day we all celebrate a little more quietly with S/N and our baby daughter both blessing our lives.
