"I'm just heading out to my haircut, okay?" I call out to my bodyguard Leon. He nods from the kitchen where he's kneading some bread dough for dinner. At first when he was assigned to protect me we weren't this close, but over the last few months of him living with me we've almost become friends. There's an ease to his presence that I didn't ever have with my previous bodyguard, and though we're forced to keep things mostly professional, my fun and kind personality seems to have forced Mr Leon Kennedy from his rule abiding ways. Since I'm not an overly important government official I don't need protection for every second of the day, but Leon refuses to take any risks since our first week of working together when the strange gifts started showing up outside my house- and then inside. The agents put it down to some crazed fan or stalker, but I knew exactly who it was.

I walk down the streets of the city with confidence, not a huge amount of the public would know me by face, since my job is more behind the curtains, hence why the governments offer of protection only goes so far. I smile, tilting my head back as the sun shines down on me, but then a familiar and unwanted voice cuts through my happiness.

"Y/N? Baby, I can't believe it!"

My eyes widen as I come to a full stop, spinning slowly I come face to face with my old bodyguard and stalker. We never got along like Leon and I do currently, there was always something off about him. I didn't question his strange closeness at first, since I'd assumed he was overly protective, but when I caught him trying to climb into bed with me I realised the man was madly obsessed and in love with me. It became dangerous, I couldn't tell anyone until someone finally caught him tugging my hand and dragging me somewhere I didn't want to go. My heart races as I swallow against a dry mouth, my hands shake as I force a smile, nodding.

"Yeah, hey, I should go now, I've got an appoin-" I begin to say, but he stalks forwards, pulling me into a tight hug that crushes me. His breath is hot against my ear, reminding me of the times he tried to touch me. I freeze, unable to move, panic setting in harder now. He pulls away at last second, allowing me to suck in some air, but not enough, because suddenly his lips are on mine, his hands grip the back of my head as I writhe and try to turn away, but there's no use. I whine, and he only takes it as a signal to deepen the kiss. I fight back, biting his tongue and shoving away as he shouts and grabs his mouth. My hair appointment be damned, I run past him, sprinting as fast as my legs will take me as he calls out for me, genuinely sounding confused as to why I'm leaving him there.

By the time I reach home I'm sweating and crying, I can't get enough breath and all I can feel is his lips on my own. I shakily open the front door, jumping when Leon appears into view holding some freshly baked bread rolls. Immediately this golden retriever of a man turns full on guard dog as his brows knit together and he sets down the tray, rushing to me and reaching out, but his hands hover beside my shoulders, waiting for me to move or nod or something. I don't hesitate to throw myself into his body, sobbing as he wraps his arms around me, shushing me and rubbing my back whilst silently scanning me for injury. "He...he was...he kissed me..." I cry, clinging to Leon's shirt. As soon as the words are out he stiffens like a rock, tensing up everywhere as he gently pulls back.

"Say that again, angel?" He asks, voice taking on a sharp edge. I sniffle, hiccupping as I shake my head and wrap my arms around myself. His jaw clenches as he stands straighter, and somehow I begin to explain how I was on my way to the appointment when He came along and forced himself onto me. He must've been watching me, because how else would he know exactly where I was. Leon listens, waiting as I make my way through the explanation, but the second I'm done he reaches out and cups my cheek, wiping away my tears. "Wait here, and don't leave the house, I won't be long." He walks past me, snatching his motorbike keys from the counter but I can't bear to be alone. I spring forwards, grabbing his wrist as I plead to him.
