Steve's affair with Tony's husband Part 2

Around 3 years does the Avengers exists, and beside the invasion by Loki, not too drastic has happened of yet. They just defeated a stronghold in Sokovia, where they defeated the remaining members of HYDRA. During which, Tony and the rest of the team discovered a special program, which Jarvis is checking out. Inside of the lab, Y/N is looking at how Bruce and Tony are working at it. His husband is talking about they could create something called Ultron, as he tries to convince his coworker about his ideas. After they talked, Y/N walk to his husband.

"So... we're keeping it?"

"Not just that, we're going to use it." Tony proudly proclaims. "This is our gateway to the future, where we will be safe from anything. Ugly aliens, terrorists, you name it."

Y/N hums. "Sound good, but do you think it will be in safe hands?"

"In mine, it will." Tony replies. "Still, I doubt SHIELD will just pass it over."

Y/N sighs. He gets red flags from this, but he trusts in his husband's judgement. "Just don't let this into something messy."

Tony chuckles. "I won't. I promise."

Later, the Avengers throw a party, with them inviting their coworkers of SHIELD, as well their personal friends. Pleasant music is playing in the background, as everyone is chatting and drinking. Some sit around. Others are at the bar. Some are standing. A couple of others are playing pool. Steve is making sure to talk with his coworkers and other people. As he moves around, he eventually get to the upper floor, when he sees Y/N standing by the window by himself.

"Enjoying the party? You looking kind of lonely."

"Oh, I'm fine." Y/N looks back at Steve. "Parties aren't really my thing. Kinda ironic, huh?"

Steve looks back at Tony, who's standing at the pool table. "Honestly, yes." He looks back at his friend. "You did great last mission."

"Thanks. You too." Y/N smiles, but he soon drops it. "About that... whoever screwed with Tony is still out there."

"They're called Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. They joined up with HYDRA to fight us. The girl was the one who hexed him. Pietro, meanwhile, is extremely fast."

"Yeah, we're definitely fighting them in the future." Y/N says without a doubt. He let out a groan and takes a sip from his drink. "How many of these HYDRA guys are out there?"

"Consider what we did and taking care of SHIELD's corruption, I expect the vast majority of them."

Y/N hums. "To think they worm their way into this... Good job defeating them."

"Thank you." Steve replies. He then remembers the stuff about Bucky, knowing he's out there. He can only hopes he's safe, but he knows it's inevitable they meet up.

The other man notices his friend is in deep thought. "What you're thinking?"

Steve wonders if he should say anything to Y/N. After all, his friendship with Bucky could interfere with any future mission revolving him. Still, having someone else to know his struggle would be nice. "You know James Barnes?"

"Your friend?"

Steve nods. "He got captured by HYDRA." Y/N looks with sympathy at him. "They brainwashed him to be a killing machine. He's called the Winter Soldier."

"...Is he...?"

"No. He's out there." Steve looks out of the window. "We fought during the whole SHIELD ordeal, but he escaped. I know one day, I'm going to see him, but it isn't going to be nice."
