This FYI is more like a bonus chapter split into two. I got the prompts from one-shots I’ve read, and I wanted to write William and Solene into these prompts. I’m really glad we’re in the We are Spectra arc so I can include these wholesome fluff scenarios! Note that this just takes place right after Chapter 40.

Scenario #1: What if Solene got a period?

Solene woke up beside William, who was sleeping soundly in the bed they were currently sharing. His bed, she realized, but now it had been their bed, ever since the Golden Dawn captain had asked her to sleep with her. And oh clovers did she misunderstand that statement in the way you were probably thinking right now, but what William meant that night was that she ought to move and share his room.

“Is there a problem with that? You can refuse if you want to. You have the liberty, Sol, just tell me. It’s just that… I want to be close to you at all times,” He said.

“Even at night?” She asked.

“Especially at night.” His voice changed to a lower tone.

She had also learned that William struggled sleeping in the cold, and the heat that she omitted was the only probable solution so he could sleep. Or maybe, he was just using it as an excuse to sleep next to her. She was used to cold weathers like this, and perhaps being a flame magic user did contribute to her resistance to winter, so she decided to surrender and agreed.

Not that she didn't want to. Cuddling with William was probably the best thing that she ever experienced.

Harsh pain stung in her stomach as a low moan escaped her lips. But even the slightest noise made the willow jolt awake, his beautiful eyes fluttering open. And God, she was seeing his celestial-tier eyes up close; so close that she could count his long perfect eyelashes.

“Good morning, love,” he said, his voice low and soft. But then he saw the pain in her expression, and immediately his face changed. “What's the matter?”

Solene bit her lower lip. “My whole body is aching, but especially my tummy… I think…” She pulled the covers away, and the blood stains greeted her good morning.

“Oh my gosh, Will. I stained your bed. I'm so sorry.”

“No need to be sorry, Sol. Menstruation is normal—and you probably didn't see it coming. Here, does this help relieve the pain?” He pulled her close to his body, pressing her head against his chest. She was enveloped by his scent—a deep, grounding aroma that clung to him like a lingering whisper of the night before. The crisp freshness of morning air that always seemed to follow him mingled with the warmth of cedar and a trace of spiced oak. And as her nose trailed up his neck, she caught a scent that was uniquely him—a quiet, regal scent, like sunlit linen and the deep, unshaken steadiness of the earth itself.

He leaned to kiss the crown of her head, and she imagined the sun shining above and melting all the snow—replacing winter with summer.

“It didn't take the pain away, you cheeky bastard. You just want to score a kiss on me,” she laughed, but instantly regretted it when her blood spurted from under. “But I'm okay. Just another menstrual problem—nothing a Magic Knight like me can't manage.”

“You ought to take the day off, Sol,” he said, his voice authoritative, like he had switched to captain mode.

Solene really wanted to… but she couldn't just neglect her duties.

William seemed to read her mind because he said, “Although I cannot feel your pain, but I know that it's like pricking a thousand needles on your stomach—and that is also a medical thing isn't it? So take a rest, Sol. I will probably hand over our duties to Yuno.”
