FAREWELL MESSAGE

I'm just kidding it's not really a farewell message because Black Clover Season 2 is finally back this October 2026. Finally, after waiting for what—five years—you're telling me we're gonna see them again?! Man, I don't know what kind of person I'm gonna be once Spade Arc gets animated and ehem the Yuno & Langris vs Zenon fight gets animated.

Anyway! That's not the point. The point is first of all, I just want to emphasize A LOT about the inspiration of what made me create this one hell of a journey, a torture—but a fulfilling and enjoyable one hey. Everdawn was born around March 2024 when I made the decision of going back to my Black Clover obsession phase, re-watching the episodes, and fangirling on William (because he is and will always be my fav character duh). Then I came across this 19 second video of an Arcade - Duncan Laurence FMV of William on Youtube (I tried putting it here but you can just search it on YT idk). I WAS ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED watching the Golden Gone (lol) get butchered by Zenon, and much more when William (OFC IT HAD TO BE MY FAV CHARACTER) gets kidnapped and saved half of his squad from demise. That 19 second video alone was able to spark imagination in me—a scene where the female lead fulfills a prophecy of incinerating the kingdom and William has to kill her-because Premieremint isn't really Premieremint without angst, right? I remembered I was washing the dishes and I was gushing my eyes out while listening to Arcade, imagining William killing me to save the kingdom LMAO. So the climax was born first. Then the rest is history.

I'm kidding. Most of what inspired me to write some of the moments in Everdawn were from a lot of William oneshots here in Wattpad. Some of my work was planned meticulously, while laughing like a maniac in the process, while the others just came into me in a spur of toileting moment, like for instance—taking a dump and suddenly realizing the potential of a DaviLetu mini arc which I decided was absolutely NECESSARY because they're the only ship that will sail because ehem two certain OCs are gonna die, with one ship being yall's favorite.

I have said this before and I will say this again: I did not plan for Sophia's character at all nor did I have second thoughts on choosing her name. Her role was just to make Solene's life miserable in the squad then have character development, but queen had other plans.

I also remembered the time, when I was about to write the Grimstone Tower arc, I realized how perfect Alecdora and Sophia were to each other. The chemistry, the tension, the banter, even the unexpected parallel of being loyal friends to William and Solene. Part of why the Grimstone Tower arc remains my fav arc was because of the feeling I experienced when writing it—late at night, squealing silently and giggling as I write Alecdora almost lost himself when Sophia got stabbed.

So I'm curious. What are your favorite arc/chapter/moment?

I think my biggest obstacle in this journey was finishing We are Spectra arc and Defy the Fates arc. MAN I STARTED HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS FOR A MOMENT. I was starting to lose spark of writing Everdawn because I was getting detached to the anime. Still, I reminded you guys that I'm not gonna give up on the story no matter what-bcs duh the reason why I wrote it was because of the Dawnbringer Prophecy😭

I dunno if you haven't figured it out yet, but the prophecy was just based on the Golden Dawn's crest. The end.

Getting to that point is also a pain in the ass.

I knew Solene's origin had to be something big in order to cast that spell, which brings me to list potential origins/parents LMAO. First was being an illegitimate child of Yuno's father who wields Sun Magic (this is BS HAHAHAHAH) and the other is that she is from the Land of the Sun/Hino country, and I can't begin to imagine Solene being Asian all along I CAN'T.
