A/N: First of all, before we dive into this chapter, let me just tell you: I've been dreading to write this chapter or finish this arc at all. There were times when I loved writing Everdawn so much that I wanted to keep on writing it forever, hoping that it would not end someday, and so I kept on brewing these ideas—which I still think are good and necessary for the story—but there are times when I think it is dragging me down.
Mostly, I think it's because of the fact that Everdawn is the longest piece of work I've written so far, and trust me, I didn't even mean for this to become that way. I don't know when I would end this book, and my life just kept getting in the way.
Anyway, another part of me is still motivated to write, but I think I keep on getting distracted with other things. You know, like working with other stuff.

THE LIGHT OF THE MORNING SUN shone behind William’s back as he announced the squad’s next mission.
Yuno handed him a scroll which he read, saying that it was a report from Beckinsdale, earning a lot of murmurs and gasps from the members—and that did not exclude Solene.
It had been months since the Battle of the Grimstone Tower, and even though they were healed from the echoes, they could not completely erase the terrifying memories they had experienced in that place.
William knew this too, but he continued on reading it. “To the honorable heroes of the Golden Dawn, saviors from the peril from which the Grimstone Tower has secretly bestowed upon our lands. This is the mayor of Beckinsdale, and I feel that I must come to you for help once more regarding this matter. It seems that even after the battle, remnants of dark and ominous magic still reside within our town, precisely located on the snowy mountains where the tower once stood. Over time the magic grew and surrounded the whole town, causing occasional earthquakes and stirring darkness that painted the sky black. I also fear that the mountains are crumbling due to this phenomena as an impending landslide is threatening to occur; and I fear for the safety of my people. As Magic Knights who already dealt this kind of magic, I am certain that you will handle this situation successfully,” and he trailed off, ending the letter.
