SOPHIA DIDN'T GIVE A FUCK about other people's opinions, including her own family.

She was born into privilege and luxury as the eldest daughter of the prestigious Schmitmore family, a house known for managing the finest clothing shops in the kingdom. From a young age, it was clear that the world expected great things from her. She had possessed all the qualities the heir of her house should have: a natural talent for fashion and design, a commanding presence to lead, and a personality that might just suit nobility.

However, despite these, she lacked the drive and ambition her parents desired. It wasn't her cup of tea to spend her whole life running boring businesses. She knew her talent, and she had embraced it, for it was what defined her as Sophia Schmitmore, but she didn't want to lock herself in one thing. No, she had her own ambitions, one that did not match her parents'. She wanted to be honored, to be glorified.

"I'm joining the Magic Knights." She told them, her voice monotonous as she fixed her attention to twirling her hair. "As soon as I get my grimoire, I'm leaving."

"But you are the heiress! You will inherit our house, and our businesses! You are destined to lead!" Her father argued.

"And I am also the leader of my own life," she said, her head cocking to her younger sister Scarlett's direction, who was standing in the corner quietly with her fingers fidgeting, her eyes downcast. "You have another daughter here who's willing to be an heiress."

"Sophia," her mother spoke, reaching for her hands. She backed away. "You know how the system works. The oldest is obligated to be the heiress of their house."

"I do not care about systems, so you should too. Like, where's the fun in that? And hey, are you really going to hand me all of our possessions? Me?" She insisted, pointing to herself. Her point reached her parents, who paused, thinking twice. Despite having the talent for fashion and design, Sophia overall had always been unmotivated, comfortable with doing the bare minimum while still reaping the benefits of her noble birth.

So when they made Scarlett the heiress, it suited Sophia just fine. She did not do so much as to bat her head towards those who mock her for not being an heiress despite being the oldest. No, this was exactly what she wanted.

Soon enough, those who badmouthed her ate their own words when Sophia got accepted in the Golden Dawn. But despite being labeled the strongest squad, Sophia had not contributed so much to its reputation unless in special situations. Even within the prestigious squad full of hardworking nobles, her behavior remained the same—lazy, unmotivated, and a bit more entitled like some members.

"How did the captain even choose her in this squad when all she ever does is mess around?"

Sophia could hear the murmurs of the members whenever she passed, not giving them the luxury of having her attention. In their eyes, she wasn't a true Magic Knight. She was well aware that she often shirked responsibilities or completing tasks with only the least amount of effort. William had observed this and tried to lecture her, but Sophia's head was as hardas a large boulder.

She would look down on commoners and peasants during her missions, earning complaints from them after she got back to the headquarters.

Life is simple. It is just acknowledging the fact that I am above such people. I am a Schmitmore.
