Spencer was currently at the community center where the baby beauty pageant was being held for today's beginning competition of Best And Cutest EveryDay Outfit. He had just dressed Miracle in one of the back rooms designated as dressing rooms or changing areas for all the young contestants. His daughter looked just adorable in her brand new pink and white checked dress and thick white stockings and shiny black buckled shoes.

But......

He looked at her sitting happily on the lap of her uncle Winston Arnett Jacobs as he bounced her on one knee merrily. " Winston, do you think it's a little.... a little..... old fashioned? Maybe? DuBuis actually picked it out. He means well but sometimes his fashion sense......"

Winston fought to hold back a grin of amusement as he kept a straight face and replied," It's fine. Just..... just..... a little fancy maybe ? I think it's more for.... For... Formal wear. "

Spencer pushed back his glasses on his face nervously and chewed on his lip as he continued to ponder his daughter's outfit.

Then the door suddenly opened and in walked his nephew's wife Mary with a sleeping Trey in the front facing carrier. He was wearing a tasteful light grey onesie that declared Cutest Baby on the front. Spencer and Winston thought that the month old baby was cute except for the odd unibrow and the weak chin on his wide face. The young girl came forward with a cup in her hand.

She laughed. " You're not really putting her out there in that thing, are you? She looks like a tiny little grandmother. "

Then suddenly the girl " accidentally" lurched forward and the cup with a light orange substance in it promptly spilled on the front of Miracle's dress.

Miracle began to cry over the cold liquid.

Winston rocked his little niece gently in his arms.

Spencer in his wheelchair turned his head to glare at Mary who merely smirked as she said," Oh , dear , I'm so clumsy. So sorry ! "
