" So , I won't be going to Costa Rica according to Dr. HighTower and Mr. Anderson," Sol said matter of fact as he sat down at the breakfast table.

Spencer looked up in shock from the online application he was doing for Miracle on his phone for the Little Ivies Preschool.

DuBuis paused as he was playing peekaboo with Miracle in her high chair which she did not appreciate. Miracle wiggled her nose at him and tapped him on the head , saying," Dada ! Play ! Now !"

Theodore lifted his eyes from the text conversation he was having with Alan about the short story Alan was writing. And not just writing for a class assignment of Mr. Giadello but for pleasure.

Luci began to grin from ear to ear as she kept quiet and continued to eat her Cheerios.

Spencer asked with confusion," But I thought the Greener Way program accepted your application and the recommendations from Lyle , Alfred and Gerald? "

Sol finished chewing on a small bite of turkey sausage before answering with ," They said they did accept it but they don't need anyone next term in Costa Rica. It filled up fast. "

Good , Luci thought as she kept grinning and eating silently.

" But ," he continued on ," they asked me if I still wanted to go. " He glanced over at Luci who lowered her eyes with a sudden surge of shame flowing through her. " I said yeah. So they said that they have other countries. Actually they need people for Eldermere. Studying water conservation, biodiversity and renewable energy at the University of Eldermere in their capital city of Westmore. "

Crap , Luci thought as she stopped smiling and pushed away her cereal bowl, her appetite suddenly ceasing to exist. She never knew that being a good girlfriend would be so difficult. She had to force herself to remember what Aunt Faith had said though. Don't fight his going away next term or otherwise he would hate her if he lost his chance for this environmental stuff overseas. She sighed and Sol kept looking at her with questions in his green eyes. She looked back and forced a hopefully supporting smile on her face.

" Eldermere ? ," Theodore asked with a furrowed forehead as he also looked up from his phone at Sol. " What language do they speak there? Real Spanish? "

Spencer answered instead of Sol , saying," No. I actually researched the country in prep school for an assignment. I received an A , of course. They speak English as well as their own native language of Eldermist. As the years went by they mainly speak it in the  mountain region of the country. It's actually a beautiful language. For example , hello in Eldermist is Dela. " He smiled slightly. " I like languages. I always have. "

DuBuis wiped off a little bit of oatmeal from Miracle's cheek. " Sounds interesting. You can teach Sol a little bit before he leaves next term. Or , a lot, knowing you. "

Theodore shrugged. " There's a prince from there staying over at the Volkouv estate. Prince Cedric or something. I met him last night when I went over to see Alan. He seems nice. Maybe he can teach you about the country, Sol. Since he's from there. "

Sol laughed. " Yeah , right? Could you imagine me talking to a prince ? Or him wanting to talk to me? " He rolled his eyes.

Luci made a face. " Why not? He's just a person like you and me. He's not special. Just rich. "
