" This was incredible," Paul said warmly as he leaned back in his wobbly kitchen chair at the Norris table and patted his flat stomach firmly. " And, you said you couldn't cook good. You told a fib , man , but I forgive you. "

Aiden blushed rapidly as he ducked his head self consciously. Paul smiled and directed a gentle kiss to his forehead.

A.J. pushed away their plate of barely eaten sub and crossed their arms tightly. " All he did was take them out a box and put them in the oven. He's not Gordon Ramsay. "

Aiden looked at his son and sighed suddenly.

Paul swallowed hard before saying," So , your father said you're creative. He said you enjoy drawing. "

A.J. ignored the man in favor of playing a game on their phone.

Aiden said too eagerly," They are. They're very creative. In fact once they wanted to design clothes when they grow up one day. "

Paul looked interested as he heard that. "Really? I have a cousin who works in the fashion industry. In New York City. She studied in Milan and Paris as well. Her name is Ginger Patterson. Maybe you've heard of her since you're into fashion. "

A.J. rolled their eyes at him. " And , I don't care. "

Jeremiah snatched the papers and began to read them as he was joined in the hallway by both Keisha and Oscar.

Keisha snapped," You are not searching my home ! Jeremiah, tell them that. They can't search. For what? Nicole didn't do anything. "

Oscar placed a supportive hand on Keisha's shoulder and she relaxed slightly at his mere touch. " Yes. What exactly has the young girl supposedly done? "

Jacks said rudely," She and her punk friend robbed a convenience store and shot them people. That's what, mister. "

Keisha widened her eyes in horror and disbelief. " No ! She did not ! Who said this on her? Who ? I want to know ! "

Oscar's face turned steely as he stepped forward. " And , I'm watching the other one. This is ridiculous. The young girl is a little incorrigible, yes, but I doubt seriously..... I mean she's a Barrington Academy student  now ! "

Jacks laughed harshly. " Yeah? Well , one of your students got busted before for selling drugs and shit so I don't think that's a recommendation, buddy boy. "
