Richard Norland ,  in his well cut dark suit and his husband's favorite lilac silk shirt and matching tie , stood before Chief Judge Bernard Arnett in his own perfectly tailored dark blue suit and Alice Rose Norris in her brand new light pink suit and cream white blouse with a red flower tucked through her soft white grey newly done hair at the front of the party room of his husband Nigel's restaurant Richard and Nigel's.

Richard smiled softly at the older couple , who he was still trying to remember were his biological grandparents , although the smile never quite reached his grey eyes because he was thinking non stop of his son Lewis at the Moss Center and the custody hearing that next day over him. He said firmly," I , with the authority of the state of Maryland, now pronounce you both, Bernard Arnett and Alice Rose Norris, husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride, Judge Arnett. "

As the elderly judge smiled and leaned down to press a fond gentle kiss upon Alice Rose's also smiling lips they were greeted by enthusiastic clapping from all those invited to gather in the large spacious room and seated in the chairs around the huge highly polished table.

Nigel who couldn't help wiping away a tear from his face. He did love weddings and was thinking of his own and how lucky he was to have Richard in spite of everything they had gone through.

Spencer in his chair with Miracle on his lap and next to DuBuis who had taken a half day off work to attend the surprise wedding. DuBuis glanced at his smiling husband with their daughter and remembered his own wedding to Spencer. Then he leaned over to press a tender kiss to Spencer's slightly startled but totally receptive lips. " I love you, Genius, " he whispered in Spencer's ear. Spencer whispered back,' I love you too, Sweetheart. "

Andrew with Glory ; Andrew looking shellshocked and half his mind thinking about having to receive his now late adoptive mother's ashes tomorrow. He did not have the slightest idea what to do with them. Glory was distracted by the fact that Dodie was leaving the hospital tomorrow to come to Alfred and Gerald's house as well as the prospect of a meeting on Monday with Claire Lowen , Dodie's lawyer , about the civil lawsuit.

Winston Arnett Jacobs and his bored husband Joe ; Winston feeling shocked that his crusty old uncle was actually getting married at age eighty going on one hundred and that he had invited him to attend. " Useless Winnie". He was afraid that the world might be ending although he had thought that same thing yesterday after he had had to prevent Spencer from running down that evilly smirking Mary after she had poured orange juice all over Miracle. Of course it had ended well since they had quickly dressed the child in the even cuter romper she had came there in. He vowed to never attend another baby beauty pageant. Joe's head nodded slightly and Winston heard what sounded like a small snore which had him poking his husband in the ribs.

Aiden still looked confused as he sat beside Paul Paterson who had agreed to accompany him in spite of the short notice. Paul was looking at the handsome obituary writer and wondering if it was too soon for him to be falling in love with this man. On the other side of Aiden sat his young son A.J. who glumly mused that they were missing school for this boring thing. Then he cut their eyes over at Paul with teenage suspicion. Why the hell was he there ? , A.J. wondered darkly.

A.R. Norris Van Owen sighed and stopped clapping to glance at her designer watch. She wondered when she could politely slip out of this hell. Hopefully before her mother forced her to take family pictures with her long lost " brother" Andrew Norland and his sons.
