" Is it true? ," Hillie snapped tersely as she sat with her two clients in a nearby conference room at the courthouse. As they gathered around a long table she quickly studied a copy of the information her brother had just destroyed them with in court. Fuck that arrogant bitch , she thought as she sat back in her seat. Edward was not winning this one. Nope. No way.

Nigel took a deep breath and exhaled it out as he held onto Richard's hand tightly. He felt like his entire life was collapsing under his feet. This was everything he had feared since the days before they married when Lonnie Hawkins had blackmailed him with the same information. The truth. The truth that he had been a sex worker back in England. Only two people knew since Lonnie had been killed by Faith in the aftermath of his own kidnapping by Lonnie. Richard and Spencer to a slight level. Now everyone in the damn courtroom knew...... Including Andrew and Glory...... What were they thinking of him..... And who else would learn it.... Richard kissed him on top of his head. Then he looked firmly at Hillie. " Yes. It's true. I knew about this before we married. But this was the past, Ms. Pierce. The past. My husband is a changed man. A good man. Tell that in court. He loves me and my children including Lewis. He wants nothing but the best for my children. " Richard leaned forward slightly, still holding Nigel's hand as Nigel closed his eye. " That bitch Tania is not getting away with this. She wants to dredge up Nigel's past to use against us ? " His grey eyes glinted coldly. " Well , listen closely to me. I have some nice stories to tell you about my ex wife Tania during our marriage. Stories that would be rated X. I didn't want to play dirty but if she wants to wallow in the mud let's join her. Only we'll be the ones to get up as victors. "

In another conference room Tania and Wilson were gathered around a similar table with Edward Pierce.

" I can't believe you hired a PI , Wilson ! ," Tania said roughly.

Wilson tried to touch her on the arm but she jerked away abruptly. " Of course I did. It's no different than what your ex husband would do. You want to win, don't you? You want Lewis, don't you? Do you want him trapped in that hospital instead of home with you and myself in a normal stable environment ?"

Tania sighed. " I do but I don't want to hurt them..... Especially not Nigel. He can be..... overbearing but..... he means well. And, Richard loves him...... I just don't know. Do we have to stoop so low? It's just so... so tacky? "

Edward shook his head and crossed his legs. " It may be tacky but in a war , Mrs. Kaye , you use all available weapons. Trust me in that. I believe my sister is right now sharpening her own weapons against us. "

Tania swallowed hard and looked as pale at his words as Nigel had turned inside the courtroom. " I don't want it to turn ugly......"
