Spencer was in the kitchen having coffee with Winston who was ordering Faith jigsaw puzzles online so she would not be bored during her bed rest period ( the doctor said she could only get up for short periods of time like for her wedding in December) and Miracle was napping upstairs in the brand new all pink princess bed with the canopy top he and DuBuis had gotten her for her birthday when he heard a loud frenzied pounding on the front door.

He glanced at Winston in slight alarm as he said," I'll be back. I don't know who that can be. Maybe it's whoever left the gift for Miracle on the porch. "

Winston nodded as he was clicking on check out on his phone. " Be careful. "

Spencer moved his chair towards the insistent knocking and looked out the window next to the door to see who it was making that ungodly noise. Oh no. It was that awful woman next door. He considered not opening it but since he was curious to know what exactly the issue was now he let her in.

" What? ," he asked as he gripped the sides of his chair.

LuLu looked frazzled in a long cotton house dress with big pink roses on it and canvas sneakers. She ran her fingers through her blonde hair nervously. " Look I need you to help for once, Wheels. So shut up and listen. I got a call from the hospital. Apparently something happened to Jonah at work. They won't tell me anything. Just say get down to St. Paul's fast. I'm leaving the babies with Daddy and Nettie Jean. Although Nettie Jean is just useless. She hollering and yelling like it's her husband. Fool. Just a silly damn fool. Daddy's car won't start and that boy been hiding his bike now and my car has no gas which is odd because I thought I filled the tank but. And , Jimmy took his bike to work. Anyway I need you to give me a ride to the hospital in your handicap car. "

Spencer was tempted to say no but before he could he heard DuBuis in his head saying that they had to help people in need. And , like her or not LuLu Simms was currently in much need. He sighed. " Let me tell Winston where I'm going because he needs to watch Miracle and get my car keys. But, do not talk to me in the car. "

LuLu glared at him. " That won't be a problem. "
