" What is that awful noise? ," Winston asked as he video chatted with Faith who sat up in her and Joy's double bed. " Sounds like you are strangling Joy's cat Mary Magdalene. "

Faith made a rude face as she cut her eyes at the open doorway to the room. She sighed over dramatically. " That. Is. The. Dreadful. Housekeeper. YOU. Hired. Us. Did we ever thank you for that, frozen pop one? "

Winston accepted a cup of coffee from Joe as the latter kissed him and then sat down at the kitchen table. Joe shook his head at the noisy so called singing or whatever was coming out of his husband's laptop as he buried his face in his new People magazine.

" Actually no. No , you did not," Winston said quietly.

Joe retorted from behind the magazine," I actually paid for the housekeeper. And , the rental car which is going back if you are on bed rest for several months. "

" Shut up, frozen pop two ," Faith said grumpily as she pulled the blanket up closer to her neck because Olga kept turning on the AC whenever Joy turned it off. It felt like Siberia or whatever in the house these days. "So , you're really helping Spencer with this campaign of his ? You think he has a chance?"

Winston said ," He has as a good a chance as anyone. If people elected my father....."

" And, my father," Joe snorted.

" Then ," Winston continued on ," Spencer can be elected just as easily. His platform is a good solid one. He's pro gun control, pro disability rights, pro choice and obviously pro LGBT. He's also for marijuana oddly enough. He has the support and endorsement of the current mayor. And, we already have a large endorsement and donation promised from Volkouv Enterprises. As well as a personal donation from Gerald and Alfred. Gerald says that none of the individual Barrington Academy schools can personally endorse any candidates but he and Alfred have offered to volunteer. As have Richard and Nigel. And , Andrew Norland and Glory. "

Joe mumbled as he turned a glossy page of the magazine," I refuse to volunteer. I am boycotting civic duty since I was wounded at that trial and the city refused to give me a purple heart. I shall donate though. A small amount. "

Joy sat down on the bed next to Faith and massaged her shoulders. " And , I am volunteering as well. So is Jas and Devin. Jas and I also have promised Spencer the use of the church for any rallies. I like his ideas. I think he can win. "

Joe lowered the magazine and snarled," Anything is better than that awful Bucky Van Owen. It took me a while to realize that Alice Rose's repressed looking daughter A.R.  was his wife. But I'm not surprised. They make the perfect couple. Who else would fuck her? "
