Spencer looked up from both wiping food from a chortling Miracle's face and checking his own email for one from Little Ivvies Preschool to glance at DuBuis. He blushed in embarrassment as he murmured," I just talked about how dangerous it is allowing guns to be so freely provided in our society and country. I offered a few statistics. That's all. I didn't do anything special or extraordinary. It was really nerve-wracking actually. "

DuBuis smiled and leaned over to kiss him gently. " Well , I'm still proud of you. "

Spencer smiled back at him. " You know, I am proud of myself as well. Mayor Woo was there. She is planning to run for County executive next year as a Democrat of course but she mentioned to me nobody is running for mayor as a Democrat. Nancy doesn't want the Republicans to capture the position. She is adamant about it. She actually wants me to... to run for mayor. Can you imagine? What do I know about politics? "

DuBuis looked at him and thought hard to himself. Then he nodded. " Probably more than most if not all real politicians. You are the smartest man in the country. I think you should do it. And , on a gun control platform."

Spencer was startled. " Are you serious? Do you really think I can win ? I mean me ? "

DuBuis leaned back in his chair. " I think you can do anything you put your mind to. "

Theodore also looked at his uncle with interest. " Yes. Uncle Spencer, I think you should at least try. If nothing else you can get people talking about the issue of gun violence. You can educate them on it. "

Spencer whispered almost to himself," Educate them......"

Luci jumped up suddenly from her chair, almost knocking it over and did a little happy dance as she held up her cell phone.

Everyone watched her with both alarm and amusement including DuBuis who laughed and asked," Are you having a seizure? Is there a doctor in the house? "

Luci rolled her eyes at her uncle's kidding as she exclaimed with excitement and much passion," I got an email from Rebel ! Ok , his producer but same thing. They want me to start doing the Teen Chat segments on his show next week ! On Monday ! Yasss ! "
