The guys are laughing and answering questions, having a good time. But Calum has been really quiet, even more than usual. The interviewer seems to notice. She asks, "You're being even more quiet today, Calum. Are you feeling okay?"

He looks up, looking like he was interrupted from a deep thought. "Um..I'm doing alright, I guess. Just thinking about things."

The interviewer nods understanding. There's only one thing Calum thinks about lately. "I can imagine. How long has it been now since you and Y/N talked?" she asks.

"Well we've been broken up for six months or so, so...six months or so." Calum says sadly as he thinks about the last time you two did talk. You had broken up with him right before he left again for One Direction's Take Me Home tour and needless to say, neither of you left it well.

You'd been having problems for a while, but neither of you wanted to really talk about it. Every time Calum went away for the band, he missed you like crazy, sometimes regretting that he left. And you were being driven insane with having very little communication and finding it hard to keep up with which time zone he was in every day.

You got brave one night when you had your first phone call in weeks and told him you felt like things weren't the same anymore and that you didn't know what you should do. But he encouraged you saying that he would be home in time and that you could pick up where you left off. So you let it go for a while.

However Calum could still tell that you were upset after that. And the longer he was away from you, the more he felt like your relationship was slowly fading out. There were times when you would be late night calling or Skyping, and you would start to cry because hearing his voice or seeing him on your screen just wasn't enough anymore. You loved him with everything you had, but you couldn't live like that any longer.

The next time he came home, you tried getting back to where you were, but it wasn't working. Everything was different now, and you felt like it could never go back. So before he left again, you sat him down and explained how you were feeling.

He knew where the conversation was going, and tried to convince you not to give up on him, but you had made up your mind and there was nothing he could do to change it. Unless he wasn't in the band anymore, and that would never happen; you wouldn't let it happen. You couldn't be what stood in the way of him fully living out his dream, so you had to let him go. He protested and even cried, and seeing him cry made you cry, and so your relationship ended with you crying in each other's arms before he left for the airport.

You had been together for almost three years, just barely missing it by a couple of weeks. And it all ended that day. Calum tried to enjoy his first big touring experience fully, but it wasn't easy. The months passed and he never got over you. He wished things didn't end up this way but there wasn't anything he felt he could do. And that brings us to today, six months after the fact, and he is still thinking about things with you.

The interviewer says, "Wow, that's quite a while. Have either of you tried to reach out to the other?"

He shakes his head saying, "Nope. ...I wouldn't even know what to say. I haven't been able to decide where her and I go from here. She probably hasn't either." He pauses for a moment, collecting himself. He looks down and says, "I just miss Y/N so much. ...I loved her, you know?"

Ashton pats him on the back saying, "We know, mate. And she loved you." The interviewer then gets things back on track and the guys answer some more questions. But of course Calum has gone back to half listening, half thinking.

He didn't know how he was getting through this. It was killing him not talking to you, but he didn't know what to even tell you after this long not speaking. Lucky for him, this was his last day in America before they had a bit of a break. He was planning on going back home. He wanted to try talking to you in person to see where you stand. With any luck, you will at least get back to speaking terms and being friends. With any luck, everything will be fixed and it will all be fixed tomorrow. Tomorrow, he will finally be coming back to you.
