It has arrived, the one day when Michael can be out in public with wild colored hair and his bold clothing style without anyone giving him weird looks: Halloween. But that isn't why he loves this holiday. Every year since he has known you, Michael has tried to scare you on Halloween without success. From plastic spiders and other creatures, to things popping out at you, and haunted houses. Nothing has ever worked on you; you call yourself "unscareable." This year, Michael is determined to get you, and when you least expect it. He has a plan that's different than everything he has tried before, the simplest plan ever, yet it might be the one that works.

You're spending the day at his house watching scary/horror movies and eating pizza and bags upon bags of candy, all while being cuddled up on his couch. The perfect Halloween themed lazy day. He knows you will be on guard all day, looking out at every possible moment for this year's attempt and he is very much looking forward to it. The pizza is already there and he is putting a couple of bowls of candy on the coffee table when the doorbell rings. With a big smile, he hurries to the door and opens it, immediately bringing you into his arms.

"Y/N! I missed you." he says burying his face in your neck. His breath tickles you and you laugh.

Still hugging him, you say "Ha...Mikey, sweetie, it's only been like....12 hours since I saw you last."

"I know but it feels like forever." He stops hugging and asks, "Are you saying you didn't miss me?" with sad eyes and a pouty lip.

You can never resist that. "No, of course I missed you too. Just messin' with ya." You give him a quick peck on the lips and walk over to the couch.

He turns and follows. "You know you should be careful, missy. I do have another master scare plan." You plop down on the couch together as you laugh loudly.

"Oh please. It doesn't matter what you have in mind. You can't scare me." you say with an evil grin.

"We'll see..." he returns. You roll your eyes and he chuckles. "C'mon let's start the first Halloween movie."

You agree and pop it in. About halfway through you grab the pizza and try feeding it to each other. It starts off cute but soon you both have marinara sauce all over your faces. You fix it by kissing and licking it off each other instead of using napkins. Just like that, back to the cuteness. You're laughing so hard at your faces being licked that you can't breathe. You don't remember the last time you laughed that much.

You finish the movie and watch a few more while pigging out on all the candy in the two bowls. Michael made one for each of you, with only your favorites in them. His is mostly chocolate and yours has some chocolate but mostly gummy and chewy things. When the last movie ends, it's almost 9:00 and you realize that Michael still hasn't tried scaring you yet. You figure he must be saving it for the 'grand finale' of the day.

"Today was so relaxing, sweetie. Thank you so much for this. I love you." You look up at him from laying on his chest.

He looks down at you answering, "You're welcome, Y/N. I love you too." You kiss and go back to looking at each other.

"I hate to say it but I really should get going. Mom wants me home by 10." you say not looking away. Michael makes his head hang low with sadness. "I'm sorry, Michael. I wish I could stay longer."

He looks up and at you again. "I know, it's okay. Want me to drive you?"

"Please." You reluctantly get off the couch and put your jacket on. "Wait, why haven't you done anything yet today?" you ask.

"Alright you got me. I decided not to try this year. I mean I've literally tried everything and gotten nothing, so you win. You really are unscarable." he replies getting up.

"Well I'm glad you finally came to your senses. Hold on let me go to the bathroom and then we can go."

"Okay I'll go warm up the car." Michael goes out the door and you go to the bathroom. While in there, you think about what Michael said. You're relieved that you no longer have to watch everything all day on Halloween anymore. You do feel bad that he never got you scared. You almost wish you let him scare you on purpose one year just so he would stop and also feel accomplished. You finish up in the bathroom and open the door.

"AAAAAH!" you scream. You run back into the bathroom covering your eyes. What was it that caused you to do this? Upon opening the door, you saw a person with a terrifying evil clown mask on. Immediately you knew it was Michael, but yet it still scared you because you weren't expecting it.

Opening the door again slowly, you see Michael has the mask off and is looking at you smugly. "So. Is there something you wanna say to me?" he asks.

You come out of the bathroom and sigh. "Yes. You win. I can't believe I didn't see that coming." You both walk down the hallway and start out the door.

"Yeah me too. I mean I thought you would have picked up on me leading you into a false sense of security so that you wouldn't expect an attempt, and would actually be scared because you were caught off guard. C'mon, Y/N you're smarter than this!" Michael jokes.

"I know I'm slipping. But you do know this means I'm gonna have to get you back, right?" He stops at the car door and looks at you wide eyed. You giggle, "Don't say I didn't warn you." and give him the same evil grin you used earlier.

"Oh great. Well good luck, I'm not an easy scare." he says opening your door.

You climb in and he closes the door before going around to the driver's side and opening that door. Once in, you answer him. "Maybe, but still easier than me. And I already have it all planned out." Now he looks really nervous.

You didn't really have anything planned yet. You just wanted to watch him squirm. You had a whole year to get him really paranoid and you were going to enjoy every minute of it. You give him a smile all innocent and he returns it as he pulls out of the driveway and starts the drive to your house. Happy Halloween, Clifford. Just wait until you see what's in store for you next year...
