TIME SKIP TO TWO MONTHS

The early morning sun cast a golden hue over the city as Jungkook drove through the streets, his hands gripping the wheel firmly while occasionally glancing at Tae. She sat beside him, her hands resting gently on her prominent baby bump, her brows slightly furrowed in thought.

Jungkook noticed the unease on her face and reached out, placing his warm palm over her thigh.

Jk- What happened? (he asked, his deep voice laced with concern) Is everything alright?

Tae quickly plastered a small smile on her lips, shaking her head.

Tae- Yes, Sa. Everything’s fine. (she assured him) Just thinking about the paper.

Jungkook studied her for a moment before intertwining his fingers with hers.

Jk- I know you’ll do well. Don’t worry.

His words, though simple, provided a comfort Tae didn’t realize she needed. She squeezed his hand in silent gratitude, taking a deep breath.

Soon, they reached the college campus, where students bustled around, some discussing last-minute revisions while others stood in groups, chatting.

Jungkook parked the car and stepped out before walking over to Tae’s side. Gently, he opened the door and helped her out, his arm firm around her for support.

Jk- Careful. (he murmured as she adjusted herself, her baby bump making movements slower than usual)

She smiled at his concern, and together they walked toward the entrance. Jungkook guided her through the crowd, his protective presence ensuring she didn’t have to struggle.

When they reached the examination hall, he turned to her, giving her a thumbs-up.

Jk- I’ll be waiting for you. Do your best.

Tae nodded with a grateful smile and watched as he walked away. She took a deep breath and stepped inside.

As she made her way to her seat, she could feel the weight of curious gazes on her. Some students turned to glance at her, and soft murmurs began spreading. Tae chose to ignore them, keeping her focus on the task at hand.

"Isn’t that the pregnant woman?" a girl whispered to her friend.

"Yeah… She’s writing an exam in this condition?"

"Who even comes to college with such a big stomach? She should be at home!"

A few giggles followed, but Tae clenched her jaw and kept her focus on her paper. She knew that people would talk, but she wasn’t going to let them shake her confidence.

The exam began, and soon, the hall was silent except for the scratching of pens against paper. Tae buried herself in her answers, putting her heart into it.

Time passed quickly, and before she knew it, the invigilator announced, "Pens down!"

Tae barely finished her last sentence before the paper was snatched from her hands. Around her, students were already rushing out, eager to discuss their answers or head home. Tae, however, remained seated for a moment, watching as the crowd thinned.

She placed a hand on her belly, exhaling softly.

Tae- Just one paper at a time. (she whispered to herself before standing up)

Since she moved slower, she let everyone else leave first before she carefully descended the steps, keeping one hand on her bump for balance. As she made her way to the exit, she felt relieved that the paper had gone well.
