The morning sun bathed the two-story house in a golden hue, filtering through the embroidered curtains of the Jeon residence. The aroma of incense lingered in the air from the morning pooja, mingling with the faint scent of breakfast that had long been prepared and consumed.

Jungkook, for once, had a day off, and he intended to make the most of it—by doing absolutely nothing.

Dressed in a black vest and shorts, he lay sprawled across the couch in the living area, occasionally flipping through the pages of a book but mostly just lazing around. His knees were bent, feet flat against the couch, exuding an air of complete relaxation.

Meanwhile, Tae had been anything but idle. She had started her day with her usual morning pooja, assisted Jasoda Kaki in preparing breakfast, and even managed to complete a chapter of her studies. Now, finally done with her responsibilities, she stepped out of the room, stretching her arms with a content sigh.

Her gaze immediately landed on Jungkook, still in the same position as before. She shook her head in amusement, wondering how a man of his stature could be this lazy at home.

With a small smile, she made her way toward the couch and sat down beside his legs, careful not to disturb his peace.

Jungkook, feeling her presence, let out a deep yawn and, without hesitation, stretched his legs, resting them on her lap.

Tae’s eyes widened at his audacity. She glared at him before raising her hand and delivering a light slap to his foot.

Tae- What is this behavior, huh? (she scolded) Remove your legs from my lap!

Jungkook merely smirked, refusing to move.

At that moment, Jasoda Kaki emerged from the kitchen, carrying a glass of juice for Tae. Before she could place it on the table, Jungkook called out to her dramatically.

Jk- These days, wives don’t have an ounce of respect for their husbands, Kaki-sa! (he said, his voice exaggerated with mock sorrow)

Tae turned to him with a raised brow.

Tae- Excuse me?

Jasoda Kaki chuckled, setting the glass down.

Jasoda- Why are you saying this, Seth? (she asked, amused)

Jungkook sighed as if burdened by the weight of injustice.

Jk- Your Sethani here has a problem with me resting my legs on her lap. (he said, shaking his head in disappointment)

Jasoda Kaki laughed at his childish antics while Tae rolled her eyes.

Jungkook then turned his gaze back to Tae, still lying comfortably on the couch.

Jk- Massage my legs. (he ordered, smirking) Do some good deeds, Tae. Who knows, God might take pity on you and open the gates of heaven for you.

Tae scoffed, slapping his feet again.

Tae- I don’t need to massage your legs to receive God’s blessings.

Jungkook sighed dramatically before looking back at Jasoda Kaki.

Jk- See, Kaki-sa? Women these days are truly shameless. Back in your days, you all worshipped your husbands as gods. And look at her—she’s beating me instead!

Jasoda Kaki, now thoroughly entertained, shook her head.

Jasoda- Everything changes with time, Seth. (she said, smiling) You have to adapt to it.
