A new day began with soft beams of sunlight streaming through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. Tae sat in front of the mirror, her fingers deftly twirling a towel around her wet hair, drying it slowly.
She wore a traditional Rajasthani lehenga, it's bright colors radiating under the soft morning light. The fabric shimmered as it caught the glow of the sun, a perfect reflection of the serenity that seemed to be present in the air.
On the bed beside her, Jiminee lay fast asleep, her tiny chest rising and falling in a peaceful rhythm.
Across the room, Jungkook stood by the study table, buttoning his crisp shirt and carefully tucking it into his trousers. His movements were precise, every action filled with purpose as he readied himself for the day ahead.
His eyes occasionally flicked towards Tae, who was still drying her hair, and his gaze softened, even though he didn't say a word.
He reached for his belt, threading it through the loops of his pants with a swift motion. Once done, he stood behind Tae, his hand gently brushing through his hair as he adjusted his collar.
Jk- I'll be late today. (he said, his voice low but firm)
Tae paused for a moment, turning to face him with a slightly raised eyebrow.
Tae- Why? (she asked, her voice laced with concern)
Jungkook's hands continued to adjust his attire, his tone casual.
Jk- I have to clear the pending work from last week. Took a long holiday, so there's a lot to catch up on.
Tae gave a small hum of understanding, but before she could speak, Jungkook turned her to face him with a gentle but insistent motion. His hands cupped her cheek softly, his thumb brushing across the skin in a tender caress.
His lips pressed against her cheek in a brief but affectionate peck, the warmth of his touch sending a flutter through her heart.
Jk- Take care of yourself. (he murmured quietly, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary)
Tae smiled, the warmth of the moment making her feel safe and cherished.
Tae- You too. (she replied, her voice soft but firm) Don't overwork yourself, and make sure you take your meals on time.
Jungkook gave her a small, understanding smile and nodded before pulling away. As Tae finished drying her hair, Jungkook grabbed the work files from the study table, placing them neatly in his bag.
He glanced at Jiminee, still fast asleep on the bed, and a fleeting sense of affection passed through him. Quietly, he walked over to the bed, leaning down to adjust the blanket around Jiminee, making sure she was properly covered. His eyes softened as he placed a soft, affectionate kiss on her forehead.
With that, he turned and left for the stairs, his thoughts already on the busy day ahead.

In the dining room, the male members of the family had gathered for breakfast, the long wooden table lined with plates of food. The aroma of fresh parathas and steaming chai filled the air, but the conversation was anything but peaceful.
Dadi-sa, as usual, was the first to speak, her voice cutting through the silence with sharp clarity.
Dadi-sa- The seventh of next month has been decided for Jung-guk and Sumi's wedding. (she announced matter-of-factly, looking around the table)
