The golden sunlight streamed into the room, illuminating Jungkook as he stood by the window, dressed in a simple white kurta and pajama.

It's been already a week; Jiminee, the little girl he had raised had been staying at the Kim haveli.

The decision to send Jiminee to the Kim Haveli had weighed heavily on him for days. She was his little girl, the one he had nurtured and loved since she was only a week old.

Letting her go was one of the hardest choices he had ever made, but he knew it was for the best. The Jeon Haveli wasn’t the right environment for a child, especially with Dadi-sa’s cold demeanor. At the Kim Haveli, at least, she would be surrounded by love and warmth.

His thoughts were interrupted by the soft tinkling of anklets. Tae entered the room carrying an aarti thali, her smile as radiant as the morning sun.

Tae- Sa.. (she greeted warmly, moving toward him with her usual cheerful energy)

Jungkook turned to face her, his expression softening.

Jk- Good morning. (he replied)

Tae placed the thali on a nearby table, picked up the vermillion powder, and gently applied a tilak to his forehead. Her smile widened as their eyes met.

Jungkook bowed slightly and took the aarti, a rare, contented smile gracing his face. Tae stepped back and took in his attire, her brows furrowing slightly.

Tae- Sa, aren’t you going to the office today? You’re not wearing your formal suit.

Jungkook chuckled softly, shaking his head.

Jk- No. Today is my day off.

At his words, Tae’s face lit up with excitement. She clapped her hands together, a delighted squeal escaping her lips.

Tae- Really? Your day off? (she exclaimed)

Jk- Yeah! (he replied, amused by her reaction)

Tae quickly approached him eagerly, grabbing his hand.

Tae- Then, Sa, can you please take me to the market today? (she asked, her tone laced with hope) It’s been so many days since you’ve taken me out. I’m always stuck at home.

She pouted slightly, looking up at him with pleading eyes.

Jungkook raised a brow, clearly entertained. Resting his hands lightly on her shoulders, he asked,

Jk- So, my Bawri chori is complaining, huh?

Tae looked at him with mock authority, placing her hands on her hips.

Tae- Yes, bawre chore!

Jungkook raised a single brow, his expression shifting to one of mock seriousness.

Jk- Bawre chore? (he repeated, his deep voice laced with warning)

Realizing her boldness, Tae immediately softened, smiling sheepishly.

Tae- I’m sorry, Sa. I didn’t mean it like that. (she said quickly, fidgeting with the ends of her dupatta) But… please? Can you take me to the market?

Jungkook turned away, walking toward the mirror. He ran his fingers through his hair, fixing it neatly.

Jk- I’ll think about it. (he said casually)
