As Jungkook continued to regain his composure, the sounds of footsteps approached. Tae glanced up to see her father, Mr Kim, making his way over, his brows drawn with concern as he took in Jungkook's strained expression and slightly flushed face.
Seeing her father, Tae quickly stood up, instinctively taking a step away from Jungkook and lowering her gaze. Mr. Kim's eyes moved from Jungkook to Tae, assessing the situation.
Mr Kim- Tae.. (he began, his voice firm but not harsh) What happened here? Why is Jamai-sa in this condition?
Tae- Bapu-sa... Sa... he can't tolerate spice very well. I had kept some food aside for him without the extra spices. But... I don't understand how he ended up with the spicy one.
Mr. Kim's face softened slightly, but his tone remained serious.
Mr. Kim- Tae, if you knew he couldn't handle spicy food, you should have been more careful. (he shook his head, glancing down at Jungkook) Look at him. How much he's suffering because of this mistake.
Tae- I'm sorry, Bapu-sa. I should have been more attentive.
Mr. Kim let out a sigh, his tone gentler as he placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder.
Mr. Kim- Jamai-sa; I apologize on Tae's behalf. She should have been more careful. Are you feeling better now?
Jungkook, who had been silently listening, lifted his gaze. He shifted, and with a subtle shake of his head, he looked back at Mr. Kim.
Jk- No, no, please, it wasn't her fault.
Hearing him speak up in her defense, Tae looked at him, surprise and relief in her eyes. A gentle, grateful smile crept onto her face as she met his gaze, her heart warmed by his unexpected support.
Mr. Kim gave them a slight nod, his demeanor now less stern. He offered Jungkook a brief smile, patting his shoulder.
Mr. Kim- Take a few more minutes to rest, Jamai-sa and let me know if you need anything further.
With that, Mr. Kim turned and walked back toward the main gathering, leaving Jungkook and Tae alone once more.

As the women of the Jeon Haveli gathered in the courtyard for lunch, Tae's aunts and other relatives moved around, helping serve food while exchanging bits of gossip and laughter.
The scent of spices, warm roti, and freshly fried pooris filled the air, creating an inviting atmosphere. Mrs. Kim was quietly serving a bowl of dal when she felt a light nudge at her elbow.
It was one of Tae's aunts; Jamna, her eyes glinting with a curious look as she cast a sideways glance at Tae, who was busy helping serve. With a subtle smirk, she leaned closer to Mrs. Kim and murmured,
Jamna- Bhabhi-sa, hasn't Tae given any good news yet? It's been more than half a year since the wedding now.
Mrs. Kim responded with a playful slap on her arm.
Mrs. Kim- Oh, give her some time, Beeri-sa! Not every woman conceives within a month of marriage.
Jamna, still unsatisfied, continued, her eyes pointedly resting on Tae's flat stomach.
Jamna- Still, if she's having any issue, better to show her to Daima soon and start her on some herbs and medicines. These matters shouldn't be delayed, Bhabhi-sa.
Mrs. Kim's smile faded slightly, but she responded with a composed nod.
Mrs. Kim- I understand your concern. But trust me, she's fine. I conceived Tae after a year of my marriage. There's no need to rush things.
