Flashback to Final Court Hearing - The Fate of Jeon Haveli's Land

The Rajasthan High Court was packed.

Men in crisp white dhotis and turbans whispered among themselves, their faces reflecting tension. The wooden ceiling fans groaned as they spun, failing to combat the oppressive afternoon heat. A faint smell of sandalwood and ink lingered in the air, mixing with the dust that had settled over the grand courtroom's stone floors.

Seated at the front were the wealthy landlords and businessmen-the defendants who had fought tooth and nail to ensure that the land where Jeon Haveli once stood would be used for constructing a commercial bridge rather than a school.

On the opposite side sat Jeon Jungkook, the District Collector, his face calm yet unreadable. Beside him was a file-filled with pages of documents, petitions, and proofs that supported his case.

The court clerk banged the wooden gavel.

"All rise for the Honorable Judge Saheb."

A silence fell over the room as the judge, an older man with a sharp gaze, entered. He settled in his chair, adjusted his round spectacles, and scanned the room.

"Today marks the final hearing in the case of the Government of Rajasthan vs. the Estate Defendants, regarding the land dispute over the demolished Jeon Haveli." His deep voice echoed. "Both sides have presented their arguments over multiple sessions. Now, let us proceed with final submissions."

He turned his gaze towards the defense lawyer, who represented the rich landowners.

Defense Lawyer's Final Argument-

The defense lawyer, a man in his late fifties, adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and stepped forward.

"My Lord, we have stated our stance clearly before. This land-formerly Jeon Haveli-is a vital trade route that connects our village to the larger district. Constructing a bridge here would greatly benefit commerce, allowing for economic expansion, transport of goods, and prosperity for all."

He paused, looking toward the gathered crowd of landlords and merchants.

"My clients are taxpayers who have invested in this village's growth and development for generations. Why should they suffer? Why must the land be given for a school when a bridge will serve thousands?"

The landlords nodded in approval, murmuring in agreement.

"Moreover," the lawyer continued, "Collector Jeon's insistence on a school here is sentimental, not practical. The next village already has an educational institution. The people do not need another school-they need infrastructure."

He adjusted his coat and concluded with confidence.

"We appeal to the court's wisdom. The land must be used for the bridge, as originally intended by the Sarpanch before his unfortunate demise."

He bowed and stepped back.

Jungkook's Final Argument-

Jungkook's Lawyer; Shekhawat stood up.

His tall figure commanded instant attention.

Unlike the defense lawyer, he didn't walk to the center. He simply stood at his place, hands clasped behind his back, his voice steady yet piercing.

"My Lord," he began, "the defense speaks of growth and development, but let us not be deceived by grand words."

He picked up a file and held it before the court.
