JUSTIN'S POV

"Hello, I'm glad you came in quickly. I've reviewed your boyfriend's test results, and we need to talk. Please, have a seat."

"Okay naman siya after the transplant in Thailand. Pero, recently, he started swelling up, at akala namin tumataba lang siya... and now this fever...

"I understand your concern. I'm afraid the situation is serious. The swelling, or general edema, along with the high fever, are signs that his body might be rejecting the transplanted heart. We've detected markers of transplant rejection in his bloodwork."

"No, no, this can't be happening." Crying and panicking "He was doing so well...

"You did everything right. It's especially risky within the first year after a transplant. The body's immune system may start attacking the new heart, seeing it as a foreign object. This is likely causing the symptoms you're seeing."

"Doc, Is there any way to stop it? A-ano po ang kailangan naming gawin?" Sobbing

"We need to act quickly. The first step is to increase his immunosuppressive medication to try to reduce the immune response. However, this treatment is intensive, costly, and will require close monitoring. There's a risk of infections because his immune system will be weakened even further." Kalmadong paliwanag nito.

"I don't care about the cost or the risks. I just want him to be okay. I'll find the money, whatever it takes. Please, iligtas niyo lang siya doc." Justin said With tears in his eyes.

"I understand your commitment, and it's good that you're prepared. But you should know this is going to be a long process. We'll need regular biopsies and check-ups, and there might be other complications along the way. This will take time and patience."

"I'm a med student, kaya alam ko kung gaano ito kahirap. But I also know what he means to me. I'll do everything I can. Just please, help him get through this."

"We will do everything we can. His situation is critical, but with aggressive treatment and your support, we have a chance to stabilize him. You being here, for him will be a big help."
