❤️ROSE❤️
"Are you okay, Rose?" Matt asked for the fifth time, as I clung to the branch of the tree.
"Mm hmm." I hummed. I can't even speak well because I am scared that I would fall.
"Try and keep up, okay?" He said.
I can't.
I haven't even moved a muscle since. We are definitely not winning this game.
I am terrified.
My heart is not being helpful right now.
Don't look down, Rose. Don't look down!
As long as you don't look down, you will be fine. Look, Matt is grabbing a fruit.
Nice.
There is hope of winning.
But I have to help so it will be faster. I can't move!
I heard a scoff from Leila, making me look at her.
"Pathetic," she said, grabbing a fruit.
Sighing, I focused on myself, moving slowly like a snail.
No, at this point, a snail is way better than me.
Oh God.
Next, I saw Jane moving close to me.
I furrowed my brows, wondering what she was doing.
"Aren't you going to be stuck there forever?" She asked.
I didn't respond.
She scoffed and slowly moved past. Only to get a tiny amount of sand into my eyes.
"Hey!" I yelled, moving my head as the sand attacked my eyes. My kids can't open.
Next, my fingers were crushed by the familiar hardness of a sneaker, making me lose my grip on the branch.
My heart sank into my belly.
"Aahhh!!!!!!"
"Rose!!" I heard Matt's familiar voice and gasps from everyone.
I can't even open my eyes.
God, I am going to die or break my......
I got caught by strong arms, making me cling to the person instantly as I let out breath. I instantly felt safe.
Oh God.
I still can't open my eyes. The sand was still attacking my eyes, but tears were coming out.
"What happened?!" I heard Ms Parks' worried voice.
"That's enough. Everyone gets down!" I heard Coach Felix order.
"But, we are not done yet," I heard Jane's voice.
She did this. She made me fall.
"Get down right now, all of you!" The coach yelled.
Wait, if that is coach Felix talking over there, who caught me?
"Rose,"
I froze at the least familiar voice I expected to hear. I quickly picked up his familiar scent as well.
It is CJ.
My heart raced.
"Rose, are you okay?" He asked, sounding worried.
I felt uneasy.
"Ye...yes....put me down please," I said, moving to get down from his arms.
"Okay, okay," he said, putting me down.
