No'ones POV

"You're drunk! Again!" Licorice sneered, punctuating each word.

He glared at Vampire, frowning at his dishevelled appearance, hair messy and face red. Frustration bubbled within him seeing his boyfriend so wasted when he had promised to stay sober for tonight so that they'd cuddle and watch movies.

Instead, when he came home from work late because his pissy boss pulled him aside, he saw that Vampire was nowhere to be found. It was no surprise to Licorice that Vampire was drunk in Sparkling's bar. However, it was no less disappointing and irritating. Work was stressful enough, and the constant worry of Vampire overdosing did not help.

"God, can't you stay sober for even a week?" Licorice continued to rant, attracting several cookie's interest.

"You're so cute when you're mad~"

"Vampire!"

"Sowwyy," Vampire pouted, body slumped.

Licorice's anger falters momentarily. A part of him wanted to forgive Vampire as usual and help him back to their home. But no. Not this time.

"Sorry? You think sorry is gonna cut it? I work my ass off, and all you do is drink!" Licorice yelled, slamming his fist down onto the counter. Vampire flinched, eyes widening.

"Is everything alright here?" Sparkling raised his eyebrows, striding quickly toward their end of the bar.

"Mnhmm," he nodded hazily.

"No, no, it's not!" Licorice snapped, turning to the bartender. "Look at him!"

"Licorice, let's take some breaths," Sparkling suggested, but Licorice interrupted him.

"I'm done!" he threw his arms up in the air, exasperated.

"Huh??" Vampire lifted his head, confused.

"I don't care anymore. Why don't you just spend the night here?" Licorice scoffed at him, turning his heels.

"We can still watch movies together-" he offered, further angering Licorice.

"No! Ugh, just- just, leave it!" Licorice shouted, storming out of the bar and slamming the door behind him with a wham.

"Babyy~" Vampire struggled to stand from his seat, "Wait..."

"Vampire? Where are you going?" Sparkling called out, concerned but knowing he couldn't follow.

Licorice ignored his boyfriend, walking into the cool air and crossing the street. Vampire did his best to follow, his feet dragging and his body swaying. His vision was blurred, focused on the silhouette of Licorice. Not noticing how when Licorice reached the other side of the road the lights turned green to yellow.

Licorice growled, whirling around, "I said stop-"

The yellow turned red.

Time slowed as the car came speeding forward. The driver didn't see Vampire, who blended into the dark shadows of the night.
