Raquelle's POV
Raquelle put her shoes on quickly, grabbed her laptop and coffee and ran out the door, she was already running late for back to back meetings. She got in her white Range Rover and turned the engine on and drove off, half a mile down the road an amber light appeared on her dashboard "shit" she exhaled. Her petrol light came on, she didn't have enough to get to the other side of Hollywood. She rang Selena "hey Sel I'm so sorry I'm running late. And now I'm gonna have to get some gas" she said "yeah don't worry Harry called and said he was running late anyway. I'll see you when you get here" she said "awesome, no worries. See you in a bit" Raquelle said, as she pulled into the petrol station.
She got out her car, and put the nozzle in the tank and loaded up the tank. A black G Wagon pulled up in the bay next to her, she saw a tall, athletic man get out, he had brown curly hair and a short beard, he was wearing a pair of sport shorts and a black hoodie, with a pair of trainers. She bit her lip, he smiled at her. God he was gorgeous, she thought. She filled the tank and then walked to the kiosk.
She picked up a pack of gum and a water and then told the attendant which pump it was "that'll be $85 dollars and 11 cents then sweet" the woman said. Raquelle smiled and went in her bag, she fumbled around trying to find her purse. She then heard a beep. Her gaze followed up the arm to the see the cute curly haired man smiling at her "thankyou so much" she smiled. He winked at her and smiled "no problem" he smiled. She blushed a deep shade of red, he was so cute and he had a British accent! She was about to give her number to him but her phone rang it was Selena saying Harry had just arrived and she needed to get there asap. Shit, she thought. She smiled and then left, slightly gutted that she had to leave.
She got back in her car and drove off. He saw the tall cute guy give her a quick wave in the kiosk. She smiled to herself and drove to the meeting.
She parked her car and got out, she walked quickly to the meeting room.
A while later
Selena and Raquelle walked out to their cars "you wanna tell me why you've been smiling the entire morning?" she asked "I met a really cute guy this morning! He paid for my gas" she smiled "omg what's his name?" she said "no idea, I don't know any about him. Just he's tall, British and incredibly hot" she said "that doesn't really narrow it down" she said "I know it's stupid cause I'll probably never see him again" she sighed sadly "Raq a cute guy paid for your gas this morning and made you smile. If you see him again take that as a win and if he's single take it as a bonus" she said. Raquelle smiled and agreed "thanks Sel" she smiled "no worries! If you guys are meant to be you'll see him again. Besides we've got Emma Thompson's after party tonight for the Oscar's so there will be probably loads of cute guys there" she smiled "that is very true" she smiled. They then hugged and went their separate ways. Raquelle couldn't help but think about the guy she met at the petrol station for the rest of the day. She hoped she would see him again.
That night.
Raquelle put on her black satin dress for the Oscars after party, they were meeting Selena at the venue then driving over together. "So let me get this right. You don't know his name, age or anything like that?" Ashley asked "yeah pretty much" she said "wow I mean if you guys do end up seeing one another again it has to be fate!" Courtney said "totally and you don't leave until you at least have his name" Ashley said "yeah that's if.... It could've been a fleeting thing" she said "if it's meant to be you'll see him again" she said "can you imagine if he's at the party tonight" Ashley laughed "omg can you imagine" she said.

The car pulled up outside a mansion in Calabassas. Raquelle noticed one of the cars parked outside the house was familiar to the one the cute gas station guy drove. She put it down to coincidence and walked into the party.
It was so busy, there were a lot of famous people and there were also people she didn't recognise. A blonde woman then walked over. It was Emma Thompson. Raquelle couldn't deny she was a little starstruck, Emma and Selena hugged and she welcomed them in. "Please go and help yourself to a drink and there are canopies going around!" she smiled. They thanked her and walked into the lounge after picking up a glass of champagne.
The girls were talking to people, Raquelle quickly browsed the living room, she saw photos on the stand. She noticed a familiar looking man. It was the gas station guy! She took Courtney's arm "what's up?" she asked "there's a picture of the gas station guy and Emma" she said pointing at the photo "oh my god are you sure" Courtney asked "yeah that's definitely him" Raquelle said. "Omg you could be Emma Thompsons daughter in law one day" Courtney laughed. Raquelle chuckled and shook her head, she was intrigued browsed the other photos. There were pictures of him wearing camo with a gun in what looked liked to be a desert, she looked closer there was a picture of him wearing military formal uniform.
"My son was in the marines" she heard a voice say . She turned and saw Emma "sorry I didn't mean to pry" she said "no don't worry, he's my middle boy. Well now man... Jay. He was a corpsman medic in the marines for ten years. Left him when he was eighteen, now he's 35" she smiled "oh wow" she said. Emma smiled at her "I don't think this is about his corporal rank in the military though" she said raising an eyebrow. Raquelle laughed "I bumped into him at the gas station this morning. He was kind enough to pay for my gas when I couldn't find my purse...and I haven't been able to stop thinking about him all day" she blushed "well he's single... and from what I've heard he hasn't been able to stop thinking about you all day either, never mind talking about you. He's in the kitchen with his uncles and step dad, if you want to say hello" she smiled and held her arm before walking away.
Raquelle bit her lip and nodded. Should she, she didn't want to make it too obvious.
