Jay looked at her in disbelief and walked over to her, "was that Hugh Laurie?" she asked slightly starstruck. He smiled at her and walked over "uh yeah my uncle Hugh" he smiled. She looked at him, and bit her lip "uh hi" she said, looking up at him. "Hi...so uh I've been thinking about seeing you again all day and now I don't know what to say" he said "just bloody kiss her Jay. We're getting old in here !" Hugh shouted from the open window. "When Hugh Laurie demands you to kiss someone" she said. He laughed a little and leaned in, she leaned in too. He captured her lips and kissed them softly as she returned it. He placed his hands in her waist and pulled in closer, she wrapped her arms around his neck, so there was no space between them.
"Do you wanna go somewhere a bit more quieter where we're not being watched by middle aged actors" he asked. "Yeah let's do it" she giggled softly. He took her hand and they walked into the gardens of the property "so what are you doing here?" he asked still holding her hand "I work for Selena Gomez. She's also one of my best friends but I'm her assistant" she said "ahh okay" he said "I'm Emma's son, if you hadn't known" he said "yeah I saw your pictures in the lounge, and she told more you were in the marines?" she said "yeah I got discharged a few months ago. Hence why I'm 35 and still living with my parents. I'm not some weird mummy's boy" he said. She laughed "so where were you heading this morning when you were at the gas station?" she asked "I was saving my little sister from a one night stand. He basically asked her to marry him this morning " he said "wow" she said "yeah I mean I don't know who I was saving her or that poor man" he said. She giggled "you're horrible" she said.
He smiled at her "how about you?" he asked "uh meetings. I was already running late when I realised I had no gas. But seeing you made my day better" she smiled "glad I could be of service" he smiled. They sat on the bench at the end of the garden. There was a large pond, with greenery all around it. "Wow it's beautiful" she said admiring the pond "yeah sure is" Jay said admiring her, she looked at him, she leaned in as he did. Their lips were touching. She captured his lips, as in interlocked their lips, she gently lay her hand on his beard as he put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer. She pulled away smiling, he smiled back "what?" he asked "your a good kisser" she said blushing. Jay smiled and blushed "thanks...I forgot if you were or not so I'm gonna have to kiss you again" he said, before kissing her softly again. She got closer to him so there was no space between them, his hand on her waist pulling her closer.
They pulled away smiling at one another, Jays phone then rang "hello, yeah okay see you in a minute" he said, he looked at her "my sister just got there. Do you want to meet her?" he asked, putting his hand out. She smiled "sure" she said and took his hand. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and they walked back to the house.
They walked back into the party, Jay took her hand, he opened the door for her. He took her hand, and they walked in. Jay said hello to his uncles and step dad, he then introduced Raquelle to them "sorry you guys are icons. I'm a little starstruck" she said. Jay smiled and put his hand on her back, "we should be in awe of you putting up with him" Rowan laughed "what did you briber her with James? Cause you are punching!" Colin laughed. "They are only playing, boys be nice! You'll scare her off. James has been talking about her all day" Emma said bringing some drinks over "oh my god" Jay said embarrassed. "You've been talking about me?" Raquelle asked "have you seen you? How could I not?" Jay laughed, putting his hand on her back and kissing her head.
Gaia then walked over "can we bully Gaia now" Jay asked "no she scares us" Rowan said. Jay smiled and shook his head "welcome to the mad house" he whispered. "Omg is this the gas station girl you couldn't stop talking about earlier??" she said "yeah, this is Raquelle. Raquelle this is my sister Gaia" she said "wait you know about her?" Emma asked "uh yeah I rang G earlier" he said "yeah he had to tell me. He left me like voicemails and everything" she said. Emma nodded suspiciously then turned away, the siblings quickly fist bumped one another. Raquelle smiled, she was going to like being with Jay. "Raquelle you should join us for family dinner tomorrow" Emma asked "mum, I haven't even taken her on a date yet" Jay said "why not James?!" Rowan asked "I met her today" he said "the night is young boy, take her on a date" Hugh said. "Would you like to go for a date now?" he asked, she smiled "sure, I'll just go and tell Selena" she smiled "I'll see you guys later" he smiled "remember be a gentleman. Don't do anything uncle Hugh would do" Greg said "wait what?...no that's a good point. Listen to your stepfather" Hugh Grant said. Jay chuckled and took Raquelle's hand "nice to meet you all" she smiled "nice to meet you too sweetie" Emma said. They said goodbye and walked away to find Selena, Courtney and Ashley. "So what do you wanna do?" she asked, holding his hand. "We could go to the carnival on the pier?" he asked. She smiled "oh yeah I've always wanted to go" she said "wait you've never been?! That definitely needs to change tonight" he said leaning in and kissing her cheek. She smiled, "hey girls this is Jay" she said "omg gas station guy?!" Courtney asked. Raquelle nodded, smiling "so you were talking about me as well?" he said "I never said I didn't" she smiled.
Jay smiled "hi" he said to the girls "James I hope you are planning to treat Raquelle with nothing but respect and kindness. Because she is a catch" Meryl said walking over to them and hugging Selena "yes of course and I already know that" he said, putting his arm around Raquelle's shoulder. She looked at him and smiled, "you guys know each other?" Selena asked referring to Meryl and Jay "yes of course. James is Emma's middle boy" she smiled before hugging Jay with a hug. "Wait gas station guy is Emma thompsons son?! Nice" Ashley said and high fived Raquelle. "I'm gonna go and get changed and grab my keys I'll meet you here in like five minutes?" he asked. Raquelle smiled and nodded before kissing him softly. He pulled away, winked at her and left to get changed.
"Wow well done Raq he's hot!" Selena asked "girl he's cute!!" Ashley said "I told you" she said. Meryl smiled at them "he's a great guy, I've know him since he was a little boy. You'll have an awesome time" she smiled. Raquelle smiled "he seems really sweet" Selena said "yeah he is, I already feel so comfortable around him" Raquelle said.
A few minutes later, she felt a hand on the nape of her back "you ready?" he asked "yeah let's go" she smiled and nodded. He took her hand "don't worry I'll take care of her" he smiled to the girls "you better" Selena smiled "don't worry she's in good hands" he said before kissing her head.
They said goodbye and walked to his car.
Jay opened the door for her, and closed it after. He got in the other side and turned the engine on and pulled away.
