Going On Tour With My Ex(Ally)

Daphne's POV:

Today is my twenty-first birthday! Now most people would be going out to party but not me. Today my band and I are spending the day at my parent's house as we finish preparing to go on tour with my ex-girlfriend and her band.

You may be wondering why I would want to go on tour with my ex-girlfriend of all people. Well, I don't but going on tour with her and her band will be good for my band. As long as I avoid her and her new girlfriend who is also their personal assistant, I should be fine.

I head for the back door because Mama said that's where everyone would be since the kids want to swim.

I slide open the back door and step out.

"Surprise!"

I stare in shock at the people in the backyard. I should've known my parents would do something like this even though they know I hate surprise parties.

Hell, I hate surprises of any kind.

In the backyard with my parents and siblings are my band, my best friend, her parents and siblings, my ex, her parents and new girlfriend, the rest of their band, and one of my other best friends.

Oh yeah did I mention that my ex and best friend are in the same band? No? Well, they are. They make up two fifths of Fifth Harmony.

"Happy birthday sissy!"

"Thank you, my babies!" I hug my three siblings.

"Happy birthday kiddo."

"Thanks, old man." I hug my dad.

"Happy birthday my baby!" Mama all but cries wrapping me in a bear hug. "I didn't invite her by the way." She whispers.

I nod as she pulls back.

"Your nana will be here soon."

At the mention of my nana, my hand flies to the dog tags hanging around my neck. Today isn't just my birthday. I was lucky enough to share a birthday with my grandpa Joe. Sadly, he passed away last August.

"I can't wait to see her." I smile softly while holding back my tears.

Mama squeezes my shoulder.

I've always been close to my grandparents. Well, Mama's parents. Dad's parents aren't really big fans of mine and I know it's because I was born intersex. I've heard them talking about it before.

I take a deep breath and smile at the parents of my best friend and the parents of my ex-girlfriend.

Mama and Papa J wrap me in a bear hug first.

"Happy birthday angel!" Mama J says happily.

Clara and Mama grew up together and have been best friends since they were little. So naturally they raised Lauren and me together and we've been best friends since I can remember. Even though she's a year older than me we've always been inseparable.

"Thank you, Mama and Papa J."

"Happy birthday sis!"

I hug Chris and Taylor.

"Thank you, guys."

Up next is Patricia and Jerry Hernandez. They were set to be my in-laws, and they knew it.

I was set to order the engagement ring the day Ally broke up with me.

Everybody knew about my plan except Ally and their personal assistant.
