This is unedited. Hope y'all enjoy. This has been completed for about a week now and I meant to post it last week, but life got in the way. This is short and sweet.
Daphne's POV:
"We're back with the season thirty-four cast of Dancing With The Stars. This is a great group and I'm sure they'll all do great."
"I agree. One thing that surprised me about this cast, though, is that we have two members from the same girl group competing against each other. Has that ever happened before?"
"It has not. This is a first." Derek responds.
"How do you two ladies feel about going up against each other?"
"I'm honestly nervous." Ally chuckles. "Lauren is a much better dancer than I am."
"Oh, hush, Ally. You're a great dancer. As for how I'm feeling about competing against Ally, I'm honestly excited. We've danced together in the group for years, and I'm excited to see how we do. I think a little friendly competition is good." Lauren smiles.
"Now you're both very familiar with Daphne, correct?"
"Yes. We met Daphne when Normani did the show, and we've remained close ever since." Ally responds.
"But Lauren has remained closer to Daphne than the rest of y'all. How long have the two of y'all been dating?"
I gaze at Lauren with a smile and then look at my watch before turning my attention to the news anchor who asked the question.
"Seven months, thirteen days, twelve hours, thirty-nine minutes, and twenty-seven seconds."
The cast coos.
"That's adorable." One news anchor gushes.
"So, Daphne, how did you feel when you were partnered with Ally? And are you surprised that you weren't partnered with Lauren?"
"I was ecstatic when I found out I was partnered with Ally. She's a really great person to be around, and she's a hard worker. She's probably not gonna let me pull as many pranks as I have planned, though. As for Lauren, it's probably for the best that we weren't partnered up, because I would not have been able to focus properly, cause I'd be too busy just staring at her. And she definitely wouldn't let me pull any pranks."
"So the rumors are true, you are the prankster of the pros?"
"Daphne is the biggest prankster." Brandon laughs. "You never know when she's going to strike."
"Is everyone fair game for your pranks, Daphne?"
"Yes." The other pros reply, causing me to laugh.
"Everyone will be pranked at some point this season, and that includes Lauren and Ally."
Lauren raises an eyebrow.
"Why am I getting pranked?" Ally questions.
"Cause you knew Lauren had been cast for the show and you didn't tell me, and you also hid my phone."
"Lauren told me to hide your phone. She wanted to surprise you."
"I figured. Help me prank Lauren, and I won't prank you."
"Deal."
"I'll help you if it means you won't prank me." Says Val, making the other pros murmur in agreement.
I laugh.
"We'll see what we can work out."
"You're really gonna prank me?"
"Yes, I am, and I'm fully prepared for the consequences." I grin.
"Just remember you said that." She smiles.
The news anchors chuckle at us.
"That's all the time we have for today. Tune in to the season premiere on Tuesday, September 16th, at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+."
The cameras cut, and we're free to leave. Lauren comes straight at me.
"Hi, baby." She pecks my lips.
"Hi, my love." I place my hands on her hips.
"Are you really gonna prank me?" She pouts.
"Oh, you know it. And then Ally and I are gonna win."
"No way. Brandon and I are gonna win."
"In your dreams, baby girl."
"You're going down."
"Well, you know I love going down on you." I smirk, making her blush.
"That's not what I meant, and you know it." Lauren laughs.
Gosh, I love her laugh.
I step back and hold my hand out to her.
"Loser takes the winner on vacation."
Lauren shakes my hand.
"Deal."
"Come on, Ally, we have a competition to win!"
I walk away with Ally.
Time to win the Mirrorball.
