Braxton held me close to him I looked up at his sleeping face he looked so peaceful. As comfortable as this was last night it still didn't sit right with me. Moving just a little bit his eyes fluttered open he smiled down at me, "Good morning how you feeling".
I smiled back sitting up to get a better look at him, "A lot better".
He caressed my cheek pulling me into a small kiss, "Michelle I'm here for you" he mummered against my lips. There was a small knock at the door Braxton got up stretching, "I'll go get you some breakfast from the cafeteria".
I nodded smiling after him. As he left Courtney came in I got up stretching, "Hey Court your here early". She didn't say anything until Braxton had closed the door.
"Guess who was here late last night, well technically this morning" she shrieked. My eyes flew open and I suddenly was now full awake, "No, your lying".
She shook her head with every bit of seriousness in her voice, "I wish, but Steven he was here". Apart of me was happy but the other part was upset. Courtney was waving her hands in my face. I must've zoned out and wasn't saying anything.
I snapped back to reality, "Sorry I blanked out for a moment or two". She started pacing back and forth blubbering, "When I seen him I was so shocked. He said he came back because he thought you were in labor".
Then she paused I nodded waiting for her to start back up. She bit her lip nervously, "Did I mention that I slapped the shit out of him".
I frowned at her disapprovingly, "We don't hit people no matter how much they deserve it" I scolded her. "Well it was in a moment of anger" she said in defense.
Then she took a long pause again I sighed heavily throwing my hands in the air, "Dammit Court stop all that dramatic pausing and get to the point".
"He saw you and Braxton sleeping together last night" she blurted out quickly. I buried my face into my hands just then Braxton opened the door with a tray of food, "I got bagels".
Courtney laughed taking one of the bagels spreading cream cheese on it. Braxton looked at me then at Courtney, "What's wrong" he questioned.
Me and Courtney looked at each other, "Nothing" we said in sync. He eyed us suspiciously then dropped it. I relaxed a little bit still tense at the thought of possibly seeing Steven.
Getting up I grabbed one of the bagels shoving it into my mouth. We sat there eating in awkward silence. Braxton would look between me and Courtney every once in awhile. I knew he knew we was hiding something.
"I can't take this no more Steven's back in town" Courtney yelled out. I threw her a what the f look. She sent a sympathetic look my way.
We both stared at Braxton his whole entire body tensed up. He made it seem as if it didn't bother him. But behind that cool chill exterior he was burning up. He shrugged it off like it was nothing so I did the same.
After grandma came and signed my release papers I went home. Braxton had to go to school me I was on fraternity league. Which was really boring I still caught up on my school work.
I really didn't have to since I was ahead of my class. The guidance counselor made sure to bring it to my attention that I could graduate early. I turned it down every time I told them I wanted to be with my friends and graduate with my class.
Most people would jump at that opportunity but me I wanted to have the entire high school experience. The drive home with grandma was short. We pulled up into the driveway she turned off the car glancing over at me, "Michelle I have some good news".
