Sasuke opened his eyes, dull stone walls surrounding him, the only source of lighting a small flickering candle not too far from where he was laying.

"I treated your wounds." A deep voice spoke up, bouncing off the walls of what Sasuke presumed to be some kind of cave-like hideout.

Sitting up carefully, the Uchiha boy looked in the direction that the voice had sounded.

"You won."

Hearing those words, it all came rushing back. The way his eyes lost all colour as he collapsed to the ground, the blood that dripped from his mouth... That's right, Sasuke had killed Itachi.

He was supposed to feel whole after getting his revenge... but Sasuke couldn't push away that small voice telling him maybe he had made a mistake. No, he hadn't made a mistake. This was how it was meant to be, right?

Sasuke was happy now. He had to be.

"It was a very close battle, you're still greatly wounded. You shouldn't be so careless with your life." The figure stepped out from the shadows, the dull lighting illuminating an orange swirled mask. "We've met before, as enemies. Don't worry about what happened to Deidara, that's in the past. I brought you here to tell you something important."

Sasuke glanced away. He didn't need this right now. He just needed some time to think.

"Not interested I see..." Tobi was what he had introduced himself as when Sasuke had met him before his fight with Deidara. "It I say it like this will you pay attention?"

The man, Tobi, tossed a piece of paper to Sasuke.

He caught it, opening the crumpled page.

[Idiot.]

It was the same page that Usagi had handed him during their meeting, and it read the same thing that their goodbye had.

"That girl has a lot of influence over you. What was it she said?" Tobi thought for a moment. "'I get it', that was it. She said she understood you, said she knows how you feel. But I know what she doesn't know. I know about Itachi Uchiha."

Now Sasuke was intrigued.

"You know a lot about your brother," The man began. "And yet you know nothing." He brought his hand to his mask. "Let me start by introducing myself. Just like you, I'm a living, breathing Uchiha. And I'm the man who knows the truth about Itachi Uchiha."
