"The winner is, Naruto Uzumaki!!"

Usagi put a hand over her mouth as the audience started cheering.

"Naruto won!!" Sakura cheered from where she sat, but her smile soon disappeared. She was being left behind...

Ino glanced over at the two, noticing both looked a tad unhappy. "What's wrong you two?"

Sakura smiled. "It's nothing." She pushed away the bitter feelings she had. She was jealous.

Then the two turned to Usagi. "You're not cheering?" Ino questioned.

[My friend is being carried to the infirmary. I don't feel like cheering.]

Sakura frowned. "I don't understand why you even like that guy. He's so rude. You should have heard the way he spoke to Naruto. He acted all high and mighty like he was better than Naruto and couldn't be defeated, but Naruto showed him!"

Usagi glared at Sakura.

Ino spoke up, noticing how angry Usagi was getting. "... Sakura don't say things like that."

"But why?" The pink haired girl retorted. "The guy's self-centred and vain. I don't see how anyone could like him really."

Slap! The sound echoed, drawing the attention of people around them. Sakura brought a hand to her bright red cheek.

"Usagi!" Ino gasped.

The red head stood up, a mix of anger and disappointment evident on her face.

Sakura sat in shock. Usagi just slapped her.

Usagi then walked away. 'She doesn't know anything.'

Neji lay in the infirmary, thinking over the match.

"Lord Hyuga!" The door opened, revealing none other than Hiashi Hyuga.

"Forgive me... Could I speak with Neji privately?"

"Uh, yes sir..." The medics exited the room, and Neji sat up

"What is it sir?"

"I came here to tell you the real truth about that day."

Neji was surprised. "... The real truth?" He was slightly sceptical, still holding quite the grudge against the main branch.

Hiashi looked down, a sombre look on his face. "That day... I fully intended to die."

"What?! What are you saying!! That day, my father as murdered to act as your body double!!"

"... I understand how you came to that conclusion, but that is not how it happened."

"... But... Why tell me this now?"

"Because now..." Hiashi closed his eyes. "I feel as if you might finally believe me." Then he began to explain.

He explained how he was about to give his life so he could save his daughter and the village. He explained how Hizashi took his place voluntarily. He explained how Hizashi did not die to protect the main branch, but to protect his beloved older brother. He explained how Hizashi chose his own destiny.
