"Now, let's do this."

Shikamaru's shadow possession jutsu charged towards Hidan and Kakuzu.

"This again?!" Hidan yelled as he dodged. "What's the matter?! You scared of my scythe or some shit? Come fight me face to face!!"

Kakuzu was going to attack Shikamaru, but Usagi jumped in, jumping towards her enemies' main body.

Hidan was caught by Shikamaru's shadow, Usagi throwing punches at Kakuzu.

"Go!" She yelled.

"We're counting on you!" Ino said with a smile.

Shikamaru dashed off, Hidan following thanks to the shadow possession.

"You're not going with him?" Kakuzu asked, swiftly dodging each attack Usagi had thrown. "You're underestimating Hidan. That kid could have a large bounty on his head one day... but he's going to die today."

"Shut it!" Usagi yelled, her voice strong and clear in the rage of the battle going on. One hit was all she needed, one hit and she could- "Ah!"

Usagi was thrown backwards as Kakuzu landed a hit on her stomach.

"You're headbands remind me of a Konoha shinobi I once fought..." Kakuzu spoke up now that Usagi wasn't attacking him. "The First Hokage."

"... How old is this guy?!" Ino gasped.

"No way..." Choji said. "Is he actually immortal?"

"There's no such thing as immortal in this world." Kakuzu said. "But by stocking up other people's hearts before my own stops beating... I've somehow managed to live longer. By using the living hearts of stronger shinobi to replace those from the weaker ones... I can stock 5 hearts at once. You, the girl with the rinnegan, seeing as you destroyed one of my hearts, it's only fair I replace it with yours."

Usagi frowned. He couldn't have her heart, it belonged to Neji.

'Oh Kami!' Quickly, she shook that thought from her head. 'Thinking things like that in the middle of a battle!! Snap out of it, Usagi!'

A huge blast of fire came towards her. She activated her Preta path, absorbing the attack.

He sent a wind style attack towards her next. Wind style was a lot harder to absorb, meaning she couldn't fully block the attack.

Kakuzu got her. His thread wrapping around her body and pulling her to the ground.

At least like this she could absorb his chakra.

Just as Kakuzu was about to attack her, a sudden pain hit him, a strong pain right in his heart.

"Ugh..." His body shook.

Usagi deactivated that path. It would be 60 seconds before she could activate a new one, hopefully that was enough time.

"But how..." Kakuzu clutched a hand over his heart.

Usagi smirked, a cold look in her purple eyes. "It was your blood."

"But when did... you... get the chance to..." He was struggling to talk, to breathe. It was understandable seeing as he literally just died.

But Usagi didn't care. She had no interest in explaining anything to this man. So instead she spoke a simple sentence. "... I don't like talking to strangers."
