I don't want to go home. I really don't want to go home...

Muntik ko nang ilabas yung phone ko from my pocket. No, Gabby... Don't call Casper. Face this like a grown woman. On your own. Problema mo 'to. And your Mom. It's between us... Casper has nothing to do with it.

Still... I couldn't believe it.

She actually strangled me. Strangled me! I remembered her crazy eyes, her fingers closing in tightly over my throat.

I shook my head.

I'm sure she didn't mean it. She must've just done it by impulse. I'm sure that she's repenting, thinking over what she did and greatly regretting it.

I entered the manor and was greeted by Paula, a maid. "Ma'am Gabby, saan po kayo pumunta kagabi?" She asked.

"Did Mom send someone to find me?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

Hindi sumagot si Paula.

"What? Why won't you say anything?" Tanong ko.

"Hindi po niya kayo pinahanap, Ma'am. Nag-alala lang po kami kasi umiiyak po kayo nung lumabas kayo ng bahay kahapon." She answered.

She didn't send anyone after me? Ni hindi man lang ba siya nag-alala sa 'kin? I felt a prickle of hurt on my chest.

"Don't think too much about yesterday. Nagkasagutan lang kami ni Mom." I told the maid.

She nodded and asked me if I need anything. I shook my head and sent her on her way.

Dumiretso ako sa kwarto ni Mom. I was about to knock on the door when I noticed it was slightly open. I peeked inside.

Mom is pacing back and forth, her phone on her hand which she pressed tightly on the side of her head. She seemed to be talking on the phone, having a heated conversation with someone.

"You found her. Good." Sabi niya sa kabilang linya. "Hindi na. Hindi na kailangan. No more wasting time on kidnapping. Just go to her, pull her in an isolated corner and slit her throat. Kill her! And if someone tries to stop you, kill them!" She said firmly.

I covered my mouth in horror.

Amber. Amber is in danger... Mom is onto her!

"And yung walang hiyang kidnapper that fooled me into thinking that Amber was dead, deal with him too. This is all his fault in the first place!" She banged her fist on the desk of her study table.

I jumped in fear. Casper. She wants Casper dead.

I moved away from the door.

Hot tears spilled from my eyes. She's a monster! A cold-blooded, merciless monster! She's the worst creature that ever walked this planet!

I hurried downstairs.

I have to warn them. Amber, my cousin. And Casper, my life. The person I love most... I can't let her touch him! Over my dead body!

I won't let her kill Casper. I won't...

"Ma'am, aalis po ulit kayo?" Paula asked. She wore a face of concern when she saw my face.

"Paula. Kapag tinanong ka ni Mom, tell her I've never been in the house. I was never here, understand, Paula? Hindi mo ako nakita." I told her firmly.

She nodded with wide eyes, confused.

"Do me a favor, okay Paula? Sabihin mo sa lahat ng staff na nakakita sa akin today that they haven't seen me. I was never here. 'Wag niyong sasabihin kahit kanino that I was here. It's a matter of life and death." Sinabi ko sa kanya before going out of the house.
