Amber

"Sana lang magawan ng paraan ni Gabby." I thought as I looked at the phone in my hand.

But first, I have to find Casper. Pero saan ko naman siya hahanapin? Hindi niya sinasagot yung phone niya.

I dialed his number again. Cannot be reached. I was about to put the phone in my pocket when a call came. It was Denise.

I was hesitant. Hindi ko gustong idamay si Denise sa gulong 'to. But still, I picked it up.

"Amber? Amber, okay ka lang ba?" She said in a very worried tone.

"I'm okay. Wait. What's up with your voice?" I replied.

"Sinabi sa 'kin lahat ni Gabby. I know that you're in danger." She answered.

"Ikaw ba yung tinawagan ni Gabby para tulungan si Jairus na makaalis?" I asked anxiously.

"Uhh, no. She said na siya na lang ang bahala don. I want to help you escape. I'm going to you now. Nasan ka?" She said.

"Denise, I can't go with you alone. I have to find Casper first, then we'll go together." I told her.

There was a pause at the other end of the line as if Denise was thinking it over. "Fine. Hanapin mo na siya. But hurry it up." She said.

"Okay. I'll call you 'pag nahanap ko na siya." I said and hanged up.

Babalik na lang ako sa bahay. I don't know where to look. I'm on the verge of panicking.

"Please Casper... Help me find you." I mumbled under my breath.

Tumakbo ako papunta pabalik sa cafe. Baka bumalik siya dun e. Who knows?

I sighed. Bahala na nga. Hindi ko naman alam kung saan siya hahanapin e.

Tumakbo na ko pabalik sa cafe. I was about to reach the playground that was several minutes away from the cafe when someone yelled my name.

"Amber!" I heard someone say behind me.

"Casper?" I turned around, recognizing his voice.

Tumakbo siya papalapit sa 'kin. "Casper, where on earth have you been?" I asked.

He just wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly.

"Buti na lang okay ka. Buti na lang..." He said.

I hugged him back. "Buti na lang ligtas ka din." I said.

"Let go of me for a sec." I said. I felt him loosen his hug.

I held his shoulders and faced him squarely.

"Denise called me. She wants to help us. But before I call her, I want to say something." Sabi ko.

He looked at me, encouraging me to go on.

"I'm so sorry, Casper." I said.

"Bakit naman?" Tanong niya.

"Dahil lang dinamay kita sa mga problema ko, you'll have to leave your home and family. Walang mangyayaring ganito kung hindi mo ko nakilala." I said.

"Hindi. Walang mangyayaring ganito kung wala yung masama mong tita na gusto kang ipahamak dahil lang sa pera." Casper told me. "Isa pa, mas okay nang magtago ako sa buong buhay ko kaysa hindi kita makilala." Dagdag pa niya.

I smiled at him. "Thank you."

"Sandali lang ha." I told him. Tinawagan ko na si Denise and told her where we are.

"Malapit kami sa cafe, dito sa public playground. You won't get lost kasi nag-iisa lang 'to dito." I told her.

"Okay. Maghintay ka lang dyan." She said.
