More than Expected

Jess's POV

May 26th.

The next morning I woke feeling guilty. I shouldn't have ruined Bella's birthday. That didn't make up for what she said though.

I walked into the living room. Bella was sitting on the couch. I noticed we were parked.

"Did we not leave or are we here?" I asked her mono-tone.

"Here," she said not looking up from her phone.

Just then Eleanor came out. "Since you guys are going to the red carpet event, do you want to go dress shopping?" She asked us. Bella and I both nodded. "Ok, we will leave in an hour." I went into the back and picked out my outfit. I picked out Zara patterned tank top with a pair of plain denim cutoffs. I pulled my hair back into a fishtail and slipped on plain black thing sandals. After that I went into the bathroom, which I was suprised to find empty. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and then put on minimal makeup, just smascara and some concealar.

When I got back into the living room everyone was up. I walked over and sat next to Niall.

"Good morning, princess," he said kissing me.

"Good morning." I got up and went into the kitchen Niall followed suit. He hopped onto the counter. He was staring at me.

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked him laughing.

"Yesterday, you lost your best friend. I wanna know, why you two would let that happen?" He asked me.

"Listen, we both said some pretty nasty things, so we are or I'm not going to apologize. Everything I said is completely true."

"I don't care about if it was true or not, you two are best friends. You need to grow up end forgive eachother! Your not supposed to be bitches seperately, your supposed to be bitches together!" I cannot believe he just said that to me.

"Are you calling me a bitch?!" I asked him sternly.

"No!! Well you have been upset since yesterday. That's because you two got into a fight."

"I know what happened last night! I'm not going to apologize to her! Niall, just leave me alone for a little while. I don't need your help. Im a bitch remember?" I yelled at him.

"I never said that!"

"Whatever, just leave me alone," and with that he walked away. I don't why or what I just did, but I know I shouldn't have. I walked into the living room and sat down next to Niall. When I tried to make eye contact he would look away immediately.

"Niall," I said in a low whisper.

"Save your breath and just leave me alone, bitch." That felt like a slap across the face. I didn't know the fight bewtween me and Bella was going to affect my relationship too! Niall got up and walked away. I didn't bother to follow him because I knew he would just shut me down.

"Ready to go?" Eleanor asked Bella, Danielle, Lauren, and I. We all nodded and said goodbye. Niall was outside when we passed him I was about to walk over, but he put his head down. Not wanting to make a fool out of myself I kept walking.

We decided to go to a dress shop. They had prom-like dresses which is what we needed. Eleanor and the lady helped us pick out some dresses. I was upset Eleanor couldnt come to the event, but i was still excited.

In the middle of it all Lauren got a phone call. She stepped to the side to answer it. When she came back she had a huge smile on her face.

"Who was it?" Bella asked her.

"It was the people from the photoshoot! They said that ELLE wanted to hire me!"

"Oh my god! Lauren that's great!" We all gave her a hug and continued talking about it as we shopped. After trying on dozens of dresses we finally all picked one. When we got back the boys were ready to go to beach. Niall was smiling and laughing, but when I smiled at him he looked away. I wasn't mad at him, I was just upset that he was treating me like this. I went into my room to get changed I got changed into my bathing suit. I white top with detailing in the middle and solid hot pink bottoms.

We all walked down to the beach with everything in hand.

Lauren's POV

I just got changed into to my black bikini and Zayn and I were walking down to the beach hand in hand.

"Do you know what happened with Bella and Jess?" He asked me.

"No, I would talk to one of them about, but it feels like a tough subject."

"Yeah, Harry and Niall wouldn't tell us either," he said.

"I got a call from the photo shoot today," I said to Zayn. He stopped and looked at me. "Zayn, I got a job a ELLE!"

"Babe, that's great!" He said giving me a kiss and hug.

"Thank you for being so supportive, I love you," I said it before realizing it. We both stopped.

"I love you too," he said smiling at me.

Jess's POV

We were all setting up our towels on the beach. I set up next to Danielle and Lauren. We all decided to go into the water.

"Lets do chicken fights!" Louis said. I loved chicken fights, but then i realized that i didnt have a partner. I slowly waded through the water towards Niall. He didnt look at me. He just got down low enough for me to hop on. As soon as it started he 'accidentally' fell backwards making me fall off. I just looked at him.

"I don't want to play anymore," I said walking back to my towel. I was laying there listening to music when I felt a shadow form over me. I looked up to see Danielle.

She sat down next to me and asked, "What happened back there?"

I told her about the fight with Bella and the fight with Niall. By the end I was silently sobbing. She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me in for a hug.

"I lost the two people I care most about in the world," I said through tears.

"It's going to be okay," she said rubbing my shoulders.

Bella's POV

As Jess walked away I couldn't help but wonder why? I was about to go over when I realized I was still mad and so was she. So, I continued playing the game. When Eleanor got close enough she asked me, "what was that about?"

"I don't know."

"What happened bewtween you and her?"

I just shrugged and said, "We got into a fight." I played it off like it was no big deal, but as of now it ruined our friendship.

At about 5 we decided to have dinner. We didnt feel like goin out, so we ordered pizza for probably the fifth time. When we got back I changed out of my bathing suit and got changed into my new pair of yoga pants and a white scoop neck t shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun and slipped on my chestnut ugg slippers. Everyone else was already changed and the pizza had just got here. We all sat around and had some pizza making small talk.

"Oh my god! We didn't go to Disney!!" Liam exclaimed.

"We have to go!" Jess said.

We all decided we would come back before Chicago and go. At about 9 I went into bed and logged into my laptop. I was on my laptop for about an hour before Harry came in. We went to bed and I fell asleep in his arms. Everything was perfect except for the fact that tomorrow I wouldn't be able to share that special moment in my life with my best friend.
